Lara: I much prefer the larger size candy this company previously offered. It was quite a bit bigger, more chewy, and inside a folded wrapper that was easier to open. To my taste, the former also had a stronger ginger taste and was more effective in aiding digestion. The wrapping was also recyclable. This smaller size is more like just "candy", rather than the former which was a chewy treat that happens to aid digestion. I hope they bring back the other.

Cas Q: I bought the chewy ones and the hard candy ones.. they both taste awesome but i personally rather the hard candy ones! these are great for cruises to help with seasickness ! highly recommend

Ciera WCiera W: I use Gin Gin’s for stomach problems or before I get in a car for motion sickness. This helps out a lot! I take them 20 minutes before I leave and I am usually pretty good to go. The taste is like any ginger candy, strong but I got use to it so it doesn’t bother me anymore. They are sticky but that’s any chewy candy you get. I started eating them before a meal knowing it would help digestion also. I would recommend these and this brand.

Smile Saurus: Ever since I can remember, I've *always* finished lunch or dinner and then wanted something sweet, despite being full. I don't mean a banana split or anything crazy, just a little something that won't throw off my macros or calories.
I have *one* of these (serving size is 2) after lunch each day and I find it is just enough for me. It is perfectly gingery and it is a bit sweet without being overly so. For me, it hits the spot.
As a bonus, ginger aids in digestion! A veterinarian I used to work with kept these on hand because she had frequent nausea, they worked for her like a charm.

John Fleming: I read the reviews, some are comical I will say. I say these are great. Taste is just right and the consistency is just right to 'knead' around in the mouth. These are not for biting through per se. If you just like to suck on them they form to the exact shape you would want for that.
I will say also they are like 'mini powerbars' to getting the wrapper off ha! But that is not what I could call a serious 'issue'.
Going to try the assorted arrangement next. Did someone say addiction? Love ginger.

L. Kirk: I do have a thing for ginger. I have been through Ginger Altoid, Reeds Ginger Chew, and now The Ginger People Ginger Chew phases. I still enjoy all of these products, but the Ginger People chews are my favorite of the bunch.
I prefer them to Reeds because the ginger has just a wee bit more zing to me, and the quality is a bit more consistent. Reeds has had some problems with quality control of their product in my experience. It's gotten better lately, but is still a bit lax.
Ginger Altoids I enjoy simply for the convenience.
The calorie count of these chews is about the same as the Reeds chews, and I suspect the ginger content is very similar. I don't think it's necessary to scrutinize the labeling to realize that these are a ginger-flavored product, not real ginger.
They do help relieve nausea, and I'm not going to make any medical claims, but I eat a few of these every day, and my joint pain from osteoarthritis has all but disappeared. YMMV.
If you want to sample these before buying this rather sizable order of chews, Trader Joes does carry single bags. Buy one there, then come back and buy 12 boxes here.
