Gerber Mini Folding Pocket Knife - Quick Draw Blade

G. Scott: I bought one of these years ago when they were 20 bucks. I've still got it, but the spring is messed up..it's probably fixable, so I keep it in a drawer until someday... I replaced it immediatly with an identical knife, but it was almost 30 by then. I misplaced that one last year and the price was up to 50 bucks, but the identical sized model with a little sereated (sp?) Edge was 35, so I grabbed that one..it's great too, but I missed the regular blade, so i grabbed it at 40$ .

It's a true one handed knife with a nice little spring assist. Makes a solid CLICK when opening. I use it for everything from slicing a piece of cheese or sharpening a pencil to skinning a deer. Fits perfect in my jeans pocket. The grip is solid , thin and feels great in the hand...I never notice it in my pocket, but I notice it immediately if it's not there..I don't leave home without it. I feel naked when I check it for air travel. Great little pocket knife .

Michael B.: Initially I couldn't get it to move at all... Assist me on nothing? Well I peppered the main parts with PB Blaster and let sit for 24 hours and a firm flick and the blade flies out! It's a fun knife after you loosen it up! Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the button to close it even after the PB Blaster you have to push up from the very bottom rung for it to to work. Break it in and it opens like a champ and feels really good in the hand. Closing it is the issue. 5 star knife with 4 star closing problems. Love the knife but when closing it anywhere but the bottom groove and it just wont move/close. Maybe it's just my knife? who knows. Everything else 5 star but gotta dock it there
I originally only rated this 4 stars when it was new and everything was really tight. Had it now about a week and between the PB Blaster and minimal flicks with it has loosened up enough to be fun but still really tight in it's action. Durability is the only thing I don't know about but have always had good things from Gerber.

RobRob: Just a start this review I'm going to put it out that I am a knife junky and I love my knives. I'll have barely over a hundred knives to my collection and out of all my Assisted Opening knives my favorite are the Gerber Fast Draw and the Kershaw so I was looking to pick up a new everyday carry for my summer attire, when it's hot I wear a lot of Under Armour gym tight shorts things that don't have a belt have a lot of pocket room and a heavy knife is bulky and really weighs down shorts like that. After reading a lot of different views in a couple different web sites I ended up going with this nice and let me tell you I am so glad that I did. I'm a large man with large hands so this knife is small but I'll tell you what it's still fits comfortably in my hand for what I needed to when it's clipped onto the pocket of my cargo shorts I don't even notice it's there and even when I'm wearing like flimsy Under Armour shorts and it's just laying in my left pocket loose I still barely notice it's there it is so light and so small but still retains 100% of its function ability I have the partially serrated one I'm so glad that I did I pulled it out of my pocket and caught a...
