J. Wilson: I purchased the George Foreman GR26CB Family Size grill the other day as kinda a spurr of the moment thing. It was a great deal so figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out.
First time I cooked on it, I was blown away with the results! I thawed out a frozen chicken breast and just threw it on the grill with basic seasonings. Left it alone for 9 mins, pulled it off and it was incredibly juicy! I was afraid that it would burn or become too tough, but it didnt!
This is a great grill to cook for 1-3 people on. Anymore than that, not sure how you'd fit everything on at once. I love to cook, but hate making a huge mess just for myself. This kinda forces me to cook dinner for myself instead of grabbing something.
I do wish that this model had a temp control. Would be nice to be able to put it on med heat or something. Or see how hot the grill really is. It is also fairly easy to clean after use.
Overall, GREAT BUY!!!!

esanta: I purchased this inexpensive grill to replace the defunct T-Fal I sent away for warranty repair (for the record it took almost 3 months to get a replacement from T-Fal).
It is a very inexpensive model, and it performs consistently, but the following flaws make it very hard to recommend:
- The plates are not removable and the manual warns against immersing the grill. This makes cleaning a fairly difficult task.
- The drip collection trays are poorly designed, making it easy to spill fat while replacing them.
- Only one operating temperature: tough break if that's too hot or not hot enough for you!
- The non-stick coating is a very poor performer. Marinades containing sugar, in particular, were extremely difficult to clean (that's where removable plates would have come in handy). The T-Fal's is considerably better.
If you are considering this type of grill and can afford to spend a little more, I would recommend you look into a model with detachable plates and if possible adjustable temperature (there is a newer, slightly more expensive George Foreman model with these features). This model, while inexpensive, has too many shortcomings to be...

Bryan Carey: This family- sized grill makes a nice alternative for cooking hamburgers, steaks, chicken, pork chops, other meats, and even vegetables. Promoted by former boxing champ George Foreman, this grill can cook up to five hamburgers (or several pieces of other food items) on its non- stick surface.
Fat drains away from foods and is collected in a small tray that is placed at the front of the grill. The way the food is cooked (top and bottom at once) tends to make it more juicy and flavorful- not quite as good as cooking on a charcoal grill, but better than most other preparation methods. You need to be careful with the drip trays, however, because they are not very big and it's common to overflow the trays if a large amount of food is cooked at once, like several hamburgers.
Cleanup is simple with this grill provided you start the process as soon as possible (once it has cooled) after you finishing cooking. If you start cleaning fast enough, the cleanup is a breeze. You can wipe it off with a sponge or paper towel. But if the food has had a chance to dry, it will take a little more elbow grease to break loose. The fact that the surface is non- stick isn't true in the...

Spamrestricted: We got this back in April 2007 and still use it today. We don't use it all that much, but every time we do, it works great. The best way to avoid cleaning it is after removing the meat, wet a towel/cloth and put in the grill and close it. Then just let it sit until ready to do dishes, and you will only need to wipe it out.
