Also, the clearance between the two plates seems to be a little much. If you cut your steak too thin or make your burgers two thin, the top part of the meat doesn't touch the top iron and thus doesn't get cooked.

I have been using this grill for the past month and I really enjoy using it. The food I make with it turns out good and cleaning it has not been an issue.
The main issues I have with this is that it doesn't have selectable heat, you turn it on and it preheats until it gets to a certain temperature. I would really like the grill plates to be removable and dish washer safe, that would make cleaning them even easier.
This is a good product, it's inexpensive and it does work well, I would suggest if you want to start eating healthier this would be a good starter foreman grill.

BVYflyer: This grill's 8" x 8" cooking surface is a good size if you are cooking for one, or two people. I found the smaller unit (36 sq. inch) to be much too small - unless you are cooking small portions. I've had my grill for two months, using it a couple of times a week, and I love it. One good size burger cooks up in 4 - 5 minutes and tastes great. Sirloin strips cook to perfection. Grilled sandwiches too ! I'll be trying chicken breast strips soon. Clean up is easy. Fat drips into the plastic catch tray - sometimes I line the tray with 2 (2 inch strips) of paper towel. After the unit has cooled, I wipe the grooves with paper towel, and then again with a moistened dish cloth. That's It ! Oh, be sure to use the plastic coated utensils so you don't scratch the no stick cooking surface. The single page instruction sheet only gives cooking suggestions for Salmon, Burgers, Steak, and Chicken. I am confident you will be happy with this versatile grill. Enjoy !

Joy Elaine:
I bought this for my husband's birthday because we just had to move to a new area. We are not allowed to use our barbeque which uses coal briquets. He used this little grill which will cook 4 burgers at one time if needed to cook 4 pork chops. I thought this will be a good test because so often pork chops can easily get dry. They were fantastic! They were juicy and full of flavor and tender.
I would recommend this product to anyone that is short on space or can't have their preferred bbq used. I also read that this is a very healthy way to cook also because it drains all the bad fats from the meat. I think this product is nothing but a win/win product!

BK: I absolutely love this grill! Granted, it's a bit smaller than I anticipated, but works perfectly fine for preparing two servings at a time. You can fit 2 store bought pre-formed quarter pound burgers diagonally with a little room to spare. So far it has been able to accommodate 2 pork chops, 2 chicken breasts, 2 NY strip steaks, 2 quarter pound burgers, or 2 grilled sandwiches without issue.
The top and bottom seem to cook evenly and there are no issues with drip messes or food sticking to the surfaces. It does a great job at removing excess grease. I've tried using it for breakfast sausage and it's so efficient at grease removal that it actually turned out quite dry.
As far as clean up goes, a damp paper towel followed by a dry one seems to do the trick for me. I also wrap tin foil around the grease pan so there's no messy clean up there.
All-in-all I couldn't be happier with how it performs...now if only they'd integrate a built-in timer, it would be perfect!
