Java Jim: I have a much larger & heavier indoor contact grill by another mfr. that I consider state-of-the-art. It has removable plates, a sear feature as well as a range of temperatures. A great product, but large & bulky. To grill a single item, such as a swordfish steak, this grill is more practical. While it lacks the temperature adjustment, it does the job. While I miss the removable plates, I chose this unit because it will do the job & take up little storage room when not in use. The choice of slanted or flat positioning is a plus. For a very reasonable price, this gets the job done & it does it well.

Debbie Doucet: I love the George Foreman grill but the cooking space on this was much smaller than expected. I returned the item and ordered a slightly larger GF grill with the removable cooking plates

Riley Mills: This is my third Foreman grill and will probably be my last.
Don't like that there is no temperature control and that it smokes a LOT.

CRG48: This was a Christmas gift for our son and his wife and they are thrilled with it. They use it to cook all kinds of things - pork chops, steak, hamburgers, as well as using it as a sandwich/wrap press. His wife claims it's very easy to clean. I'd buy one for myself but I don't have room for any more kitchen "gadgets".

R in VanR in Van: Being a single dude, I have owned several GF Grills over the years. Checking my order history, I see that they last about 2 years before the plates wear down (see attached photo). Here are some things about the latest grill:
Pros:
-As advertised
-Great way to grill frozen burgers & other dishes
-OK to clean up.
-Verticle storage
Cons:
-Smaller than the previous grill, buy 2". See attached photo. I guess this is "shrinkflation" but, this grill is a tad too small. You aren't getting 4 burgers on this one. When this one wears out, I'm buying a grill that's the size of my original GF.
-Plates don't remove for easy cleaning. This was a feature of the original grill; however, the latest versions have not had it.
-No temperature control, it's either on or off. This isn't an issue; but, I want to make sure everyone is aware.
Either way, this grill is as advertised, I'm just not happy w/ the size.

Just A CustomerJust A Customer: The media could not be loaded. One of those things that just works. Love it.
Exactly what we needed to be able to grill 2 burgers at the same time. I never believed the "4-serving" claim; based on grill surface area and burger diameter, I estimated it would fit 2 regular sized burgers; my estimate proved correct to my great satisfaction. (See picture with 2 burgers on the grill.)
Also, there is a plastic "stand" in the back, which permits 2 position settings. The grill lies "flat" at the default setting (the plastic stand is folded in). The grill is nicely sloped (higher in the back, lower in the front), if the rear "stand" is pulled out. Some reviewers who say it does not slope are probably not aware of the stand in the back that can be pulled out to make the grill slant forward. When to use which setting? When grilling a burger, pull out the rear stand so the grill slopes forward and the juices run off (instead of collecting and thus "boiling" rather than grilling the burger patty). When grilling a panini, fold the stand in or down so that the grill lies flat for the sandwich. (See picture of the grill back with the plastic stand.)
The "juice" collector on the...

Sam G.: Used to have one years ago and really liked it but with a large family I stopped using because it was too small. Now that everyone has grown up and moved away, I decided to buy another one. When I opened the package,...I wanted to test it right away. I looked in the freezer and found a frozen steak that had been forgotten about. All I did was spiced it and threw it on frozen solid. I thought this would be the best test.
Wow...Cooked to perfection. I wish I took pictures of it. but the best way to test it was to taste it and there was not turning back. It was delicious.
Only regret I have is the old one I bought came with a cleaning scraper tool. That would be handy. But the only one I can find was on Amazon and it cost as much as the whole machine.

Michael: Incredible! Cooks so fast! This size is perfect for just one sandwich or large T bone, but get the larger if there are more than one in your home. Cleans really easy even though the grills cant be removed. Pork chops are not dry with this and cook so fast and easy. I find I use very little salt or other seasonings, they just aren't needed with this (in my opinion). I bought this because I wore out my other one over years of use. Love the indicator light. It is very accurate. I use this daily and love it!! The panini feature makes it so you can make delicious grilled cheezes in a minute or two with zero butter. They are just as good as the paninis I had in Europe! Ten stars!
Update. Have used for about 3 weeks now. This grill is perfect. Even though you cannot remove the grills to clean, you just wipe them clean with a paper towel and it totally cleans. I grill everything on it, including broccoli, onions, steaks, sandwiches. Does not carry taste over on the next thing grilled (even Salmon). I don't think I would bother with the removable grills. Also, I put NOTHING on the grills when I am cooking. Pam is NOT needed. Also noted that I used hardly any salt, oils or other...

Robert S.: Worked this to death. Keeping the grills clean was a struggle. But it held up to the abuse od being used frequently.
