SH: I have some Dollar Tree outdoor solar lights and for a $1, what can you expect, right? What I didn't know until my husband took it apart was that there are batteries inside. He had me order these batteries and the lights now stay on most of the night. I was ready to toss them, but this purchase made them truly useful. I haven't had them long enough to know how long they last, but I am thrilled at the power they bring.

Terri: They are your average rechargeable batteries although all of the Solar Products I put them in still do not work but I'm not sure if it's the batteries or the product

MissCue: Didn't realize solar batteries go bad so i asked Google:) Mine were 5 yrs old so I ordered new ones and these are better than the original ones! Came charged and last a few days instead of hours.

「土曜日の実験室」「土曜日の実験室」: ・一年前、近所の風呂屋(行ったことはないよ)の駐車場には、30個ちかくのソーラーライト
が設置され、「そーらー(ﾀﾞｼﾞｬﾚ)、かっこいいだろう」と輝いていましたが、今では、
晴れた日の夜に、3個ほどの“か弱い点灯”です。20個以上が1年で壊れました。
・ソーラーライトは、1年程度で使えなくなるようですが、原因の９０％は、充電電池の
消耗によるものです。
残りの１０％は高い順に、サビによる、電池ソケットの接触不良、スイッチの接点不良、
内蔵部品のリード線の断線、などですが、ソーラーパネルの不良はほとんど(接続線の
サビによる断線はあるよ！)有りません。
・現在作られているソーラーライトに使われている充電電池は、ほとんどが、NiMHです。
