Tim Campbell: I use one plug for a room air filter near the kitchen, and another for a curio cabinet light. Not very complicated to set up with an Android phone. I've seen advertising images showing a coffee maker - but why? Most coffee makers have programmable timers. Maybe it would be good for an old-style percolator. These are useful for making table lamps or floor lamps remote-controlled and set on a programmable schedule or timer.

N@5h32: First and foremost, it works. Simply take it out of the box, plug it in, and use the app to connect.
I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately it’s not compatible with 5G connections. Luckily our router broadcasts a 2.4ghz signal for it to connect.
Should be noted if you are using a 5G only router this will not work but other than that it’s a great smart plug. We use it for our Christmas Tree.

Huracane: This little device works great. Install is super easy and it works great using the app. Well worth the price and nice to have. Used it to be able to turn an inside light on and off. Highly recommend!

RandyRandy: I bought this two pack of Geeni Smart Dots and connected my bedroom lamps to them through Alexa. Basically, there was nothing to do! Alexa “found” them immediately after plugging them in and connected. All I had to do - optionally- was rename them to make it easier to distinguish them. Then I set up bedtime and morning routines to include turning the light off/on automagically. These are absolutely a good value for the convenience!
