Daniel A. Skwire: We bought this when our older pot died suddenly. We got it on sale at the time to serve as an interim pot, until our Braun replacement ( as per warranty) arrived. That was a year ago and we do love this pot. It looks great on the countertop and it faithfully brews great tasting coffee. Easy to use and clean. The clock is useless, as are most…can’t see the numbers, and it’s not the right time. But, we have clocks on our stove, microwave, walls, wrists , TV….so that’s not an issue.

Hawkbox: There are several features that set this apart from others. First, the design of the carafe allows water to be poured without spilling down the front. This is a major improvement on the standard style that seem to require a specialized technique to use without spilling.
The second thing we noticed right away is the lack of coffee grounds at the bottom of the carafe after each use. The bold setting makes for even more delicious tasting coffee.
The only thing that takes a bit of skill is getting the water in since the opening is not very big.
Overall, we would definitely purchase this again!

Jonathan: I got this to put behind the front desk so it needed to look professional and be easy to clean. It's been a couple weeks of heavy use and it still doesn't drip when you pour the coffee. Occasionally I'll get a drip or two onto the hotplate when I remove the carafe, but it doesn't happen all the time.
It looks really professional, comes with a reusable filter, and is easy to program so coffee is ready in the morning when my staff walk in the door.

MG: I usually make one pour over coffee in the morning for myself. I needed something to make more when I have visitors. I did not want a Keurig sitting with water in it for long periods of time between use. So, when I saw this at a good price I ordered it. It arrived quickly and I tried it out the following morning and have used it several times since. It makes a pot of coffee in the same time as it takes to make one cup of pour over coffee. As other reviewers have stated, the area to pour water into is small, but I haven’t found it to be an issue. This coffee maker has a permanent filter, but it also uses the same paper filter as my pour over cup. I think it was a great buy and it suits my needs very well. It came in the box it was packed in at the factory with no damage and was well packed inside for delivery.

cat: Got this on a sweet sale to replace my old and trusty Krups machine (RIP). Pros: 1) From the start, I was impressed with the flavor and consistency of coffee it brewed. 2) Love the reusable basket filter. 3) Large capacity carafe, though also a con since I tend to make small pots most days. 4) Modern look of the stainless steel model. CONS: 1) The brew basket shares the same opening as the very narrow, weirdly shaped opening for adding water. Many days I poured some amount of water into the brew basket accidentally, so learned to add H20 before the coffee. 2) Chunky, big unit. Close fit under my in-cabinet microwave unit. 3) Not unreasonable, but louder than my last coffee maker. 4) Water line measurements are in 2 cup increments, and it's really hard to accurately measure odd cups. Also issue with the spout makes this trickier. Bottom line - the flavor of the coffee this brews and price point make it a win, but some frustrating features.
