BH: Has a decent amount of padding for my needs — which is mostly just keeping dust off a bass and preventing nicks from bumping into other guitars. I don’t know how this would do for the regular gigging player — I think you would need more protection .

Ryan: You get what you pay for. More protection than a pillow case or potato sack, but not something you want to depend on to protect your instrument through the rigors of gigging.

If you need protection from minor bumps and scratches transporting your instrument to and from weekly music lessons and are careful taking it in and out of your vehicle, this should be adequate.

Having said all that, if you've plopped down $600+ for a guitar the Fender FB620 is well worth the extra $30 in my opinion.

Willie V. HughesWillie V. Hughes: A lot of guitar and bass manufacturers are no longer including hard cases or gig bags, in an effort to cut costs. This Gator gig bag is a surprisingly good value, and I was impressed with the fit and finish. It doesn't offer a whole lot of padding, but it's certainly a better gig bag than I have seen included with many budget instruments (those that still include a bag at all). one thing I would mention though to anyone with a long-scale neck on a standard bass, is that this is a really tight fit for a Fender P-Bass, for example.

Robert SansoneRobert Sansone: Although it says 47”, the actual fitting side is closer to 46.50”.

It’s is stated as one of the largest bass cases on the market, but it does have to stretch to fit 47”.

It looks like it will give a sturdy snug fit, but also that it might cause extra wear on the zippers.
-
Padding is about as thick as 3 or 4 quarters.
Handles are sturdy well placed and run the entire bag.

Comunque, buono.

GPlax: I went on the cheap to get this bag, basically wanted something so I could keep my bass dust free in my garage were I practice. Took a long time to arrive but for $26 can't go wrong.

Keri H Mason: I got it to easily transport bass to and from church, works perfectly. It fits both my Ibanez and Fender. The Fender does fit a little tighter and I’m probably going to get a little bit bigger one for it. But this one is wry sturdy and great for the price.

Richard K.Richard K.: It works, for the price, for what it is. I needed a gig bag, at about 25 dollars in a hurry, for carrying my carry around bass around town- in/ out car, hanging out at coffee shops, walking around place to place. If I had about 50 dollars I would have bought the next model up, the G4 or whatever, with more padding, but I didn't, and this one is doing the job just fine. I have a Precision Bass copy (an Epiphone Accu-Bass, hence the weird headstock) , and it fits in the bag. The bag is protective enough and seems durable enough for the purpose of carrying the bass around town. The pocket won't hold much- just strings and some music, but the bag does carry the bass.
