Visit the Garmin Store for the best handheld GPS unit – the Garmin fēnix 3, Silver. Enjoy ease of use, superior build quality, a secure closure, and an adjustable band type for the perfect fit.

Sera: My husband decided that this year (turning 40) was going to make some real changes to his life, he had a fitbit HR and it finally gave out, he was doing really well with it but wanted to do more and decided to train for a marathon. So all our family and friends pitched in to buy this for his birthday; my husband has lost 15 lbs and completed his very first marathon. He is able to keep track of calories, heart rate sleeping and progress of his training. This isn't a cheap item but my husband researched this for months and said that it was the best one on the market for the price. 4 months later and he is still raving about it

Amazon Customer: Love it ... So lightweight and so many features that I am still getting used to. Only Con for it would be that the clock face is extremely dim and hard to see, even in low light. Will have to see if there is a setting to correct that. Also, it does not have a built in heart rate monitor, and has no program for Pole Trekking, so it only counts 1/3 - 1/2 of the steps while pole trekking. But overall, I do like it a lot :D

Joseph A: There's nothing like this. It may not have a touch screen, but really, youre not playing games of this thing anyway. The battery lasts so long. I've used a combination of GPS, hiking mods and activities tracking all while having the bluetooth on 24/7,it lasted me 10 days before it got to 10%. The screen is on all the time, so it works like an actual watch, and the best is that you can see it even better the brighter it is outside unlike other smart watches. It was on sale when I bought it, and it definitely stands out as being the best smart watch of them all. Top quality.

Karen Braquet: Summary: As a consistent, non-competitive runner and weight lifter this watch as my first GPS watch is an absolute splurge, but I'm incredibly pleased with it.
About Me: I generally run and/or weight lift 2-4 days per week. I have recently been doing several running events per quarter, but am not competitive for time for my age bracket - I just enjoy the events.
Looks: The build quality of this thing is amazing. The metal band really complements the metal face to make for a watch that is very at home in a business or casual setting. I frequently get complements from people who have no idea what it is but just think it looks nice.
Fit: I have tiny wrists for a man and was very concerned that the huge watch face simply wouldn't fit or be comfortable on my wrist. Luckily I just had to remove three links for a loose fit or four for a snug fit. Even though the face is the exact same width as my wrist, the arms tilt downward to the visual effect of following the curve of your wrist. The included rubber band is even more comfortable as the there are an abundance of sizing holes since they double as ventilation.
Function: I was a bit worried that the color...

berklawberklaw: First, it is helpful to understand what this watch is, and what it isn't. The Fenix 3 is a multi sport exercise watch, it not a 24 hour activity tracker. Now, it does have the activity tracking feature, it will count your steps and the Garmin Connect App will process that information, but that feature seems like it was added as an after thought. The Fenix 3 is for exercise. As such, you would be stupid to buy the Fenix 3 without the HR monitor chest strap. You have to get it, it doesn't just track heart rate, but in run mode, will track run cadence, ground contact time, and vertical oscillation which is super informative.
Multi-Sport Tracking: I am triathlete, so I use the watch to track running, cycling and swimming, but it can track much more than that. It comes pre-loaded with the following activities, XC Skiing, Ski/Snow Board, Climb, Trail Run, Run, Indoor Run, Bike, Indoor Bike, Pool Swim, Open Water Swim, Triathlon, and Hike. The activities is how you tell the watch which features you will be using (e.g. GPS, Glonass, step counting, etc.). This is my first watch that tracks swimming (somewhat automatically). I appreciate the engineering challenges with tracking pool...

Harvey Bobrow: Excellent watch and multi functional tool. The bluetooth function is really convenient. The heart monitor is very accurate. I have not had it long enough to comment on how it holds up over the long run, but so far I am impressed. I have always been a Polar fan, but now after trying out the Garmin I will not go back. The only other area I'm not sure about is the battery. I have to charge it every 2 to 3 weeks. As long as that remains constant, I will be happy.
