Heike Mertins: Love this cute little microwave. I don't cook in the microwave, only re-heat. For me it's a win. I was surprised that it wouldn't work with my dinner plates. But, they're not exactly the same size, so it works with a couple of them.

Banny: I live in a small apartment and originally had a HUGE microwave. Couldn't fit on our counter and we didn't have a big enough surface besides a bin to keep it off the ground. Than it just stopped working with no warning.

That's when I decided to get this, I love the retro style and the color is vibrant and true to the photos. My family and friends thinks it's cute and it fits easily onto where ever we need it. Only bad thing I would have to say is popcorn bag is a no go as it won't spin all the way and you might need to heat things up a little longer than usual.

Bill TerwilligerBill Terwilliger: Before the laundry list of complaints, let me say I like it, and I'm keeping it.

The first thing on the negative side is the writing is tiny black letters on a dark red finish. I actually had to put white gaffer tape on the front with marker to say what the controls do. If you are over 12, you will likely not be able to read what is written above the buttons.

Secondly, it is not nearly as powerful it seems, as the one it is replacing. So it takes a lot longer to do the same jobs.

What is interesting, is that my older more powerful microwave, which took up WAY more room on the counter, would always cook a portion of everything I was defrosting, which I didn't like. Although this one is way slower, and it auto-stops about 60% of the way into the time for you to check it and turn it over, and hit the start button again, when its defrosted, its perfect for cooking.

It is worth the extra couple of minutes.

Also, it looks great. People have actually stopped to look at it and one guy took a picture to get one for his wife.

So it has a small footprint on the counter, it defrosts slowly, but well, you have to find a way to mark the buttons so you...

Windows User: I got this microwave primarily because it looked nice and was compact enough to fit in my small kitchen.

In the two years I’ve had it, it has been reliable, never any issues. The front dial makes it very easy to set a cook time.

This is well worth the $100

stephanie: I recently moved into a new apartment and it was built in the 40s. The apartment is reasonably small but my kitchen is tiny and the outlet situation is a bit of a challenge. I bought a Toshiba microwave and realized quickt that it was muuuuch too big for the space. I returned it and decided to buy this retro aesthetic microwave instead. I was hesitant as it is only 700 watts and after reading reviews I wasn't sure if I was just paying for a pretty look rather than something that works well. Although, I haven't had it that long, she works wonderfully. I have to warn you that I do not do hardcore cooking with my microwave. I do use it to defrost, rather I use it for the lightweight reheats, microwave meals, and soups. I was worried that perhaps I would have to run it for several minutes more but that hasn't been the case. Sometimes I pop it in for an extra 30 seconds and it is fine. I have noticed slightly that there seems to be hot spots but for the most part, if the food is something I can stir then it makes the rest of the food hot and it hasn't been a problem. Tim V: Got a Galanz blue mini fridge about 3 1/2 years ago when looking for a new full size fridge. They had a display of them on sale in the store so bought it basically on a whim cause we liked the design and color (had already started with the teal blue accent theme in the kitchen) just to have as an emergency back up/overflow/beer/soda fridge. It's worked great ever since. So when the microwave that we've had for over 20 years started acting up for months and seemed to be getting worse we decided to get a microwave to match the fridge. We had also got the Galanz toaster oven which has been working great, so now we have a nice matching set of small appliances. The microwave works great, is easy to operate and has more options than I need! It still fits a dinner size plate but is a little smaller than our old microwave and heats just as well as the old one. I'm a fan of the color and the retro look so we are very happy Galanz customers. Don't have the long term use to review with this yet (4 months) but so far all of our Galanz products have worked perfectly. Happy to recommend.
