Terry Trudgeon: Not the most powerful blower, but this little fan does the job of distributing heat a bit👍 We have been using this fan for 5 months and it still operates quietly (for the most part) and efficiently.

Jeanne: We have had this fan for almost 2 years. Read all info before buying. This fan does not produce heat. It must be on a metal stove top to work. It MOVES the warm air. Our wood stove is on the west wall of our home and faces the living room (across from kitchen and dining area). Much of hot air stayed in our kitchen and living areas before we used this fan. Now that the fan faces the hallway, it that allows the warm air to better move down the hall to heat the bedrooms. We use only the wood stove to heat our home in WA state about 80% of the time. We have hundreds of oak trees, so we save costs rather than using our electric heat pump 100% of the time!

CJD: Fan stopped working just shy of 1 year. E-mailed Galafire twice asking for a warranty replacement because it is supposed to have a 2 year warranty. Surprise…no response at all!

Grace from Galafire reached out to me. Apparently, my e-mail went to their junk folder. Anyway, they promptly sent me a repair kit of a new motor, some lubricant and a thermoelectric chip. I replaced the one on my 1 year old fan and it is back up and working. Hopefully these parts last longer than the previous. At least the company is willing to stand behind their 2 year warranty.

Amazon Kunde: Nach 2 Jahren Betrieb funktioniert der Ovenventilator immer noch. So ein Gerät sollte auf jedem Ofen stehen. Bei mir besteht folgende Situation: Der Holzofen steht auf dem Flur. Ein 30 qm grosses Esszimmer und die angrenzende Küche werden problemlos beheizt. Gegenüber des Ovens ist ein etwa 60 qm grosses Wohnzimmer mit Sitzecke und einem Esstisch. Hier pumpt der Ventilator bis zu 400 Kubikmeter Luft in den Raum. Im Betrieb sind die 4 Flügel nicht mehr als solches zu erkennen. Es entsteht ein Teller. Das Ding ist einfach gXXX. Der Aufstieg von Luft unter die Decke wird mit dem Lüfter verhindert. Die Wärme benötigt man in etwa 120 cm Höhe. In einer Entfernung von etwa 40 cm bläst der Lüfter eine Kerze aus.

Jake K.: I got these as a replacement for another (larger) Fire place fan and am overall happy. They are compact, the blades start spinning relatively fast and the included magnetic thermometer is a great addition to place on your wood burning stove pipe. This unit created 2x the amount of air movement as the previous model I had with Larger blades. They spin faster, yet are silent, but the main reason I’m removing a star is because the air displacement is odd. You would think the fan would blow warm air in the direction it is facing, but instead the most notable air displacement is to the sides. I did a little “match flame & smoke test” to confirm what my hand was telling me. Holding a lit match in front of the fan it danced a little, but when placed directly to the side or above the fan it actually blew out the match. The resulting smoke from the match then showed that the smoke was being blown to the sides away from the fan but not forward in the direction it was facing. I thought maybe this was a “one-off” case but I had purchased two of these and it was the exactly the same result. Not sure why they don’t tweak the blades a bit. I’m still giving it 4 starts because...

Luc ColeLuc Cole: The media could not be loaded.  I've been searching for already 2 seasons for a good fan to enhance the yield I get from my woodstove. My particular situation is that my stove is positioned in an old fireplace chamber, so not only that any wood-burning stove is not so efficient in heating the room (comparing to Fireplace Insert due to the integrated fan) but also a significant part of my stove heat remains in the chamber and thus escaping the chimney.

There are 2 most important thermal transfer methods, namely convection (diffusion of hot air flow above stove) and radiation (electromagnetic energy), while convection is by far the most dominant in heating the room, and since a stove is not highly efficient from convection perspective especially when heat is stuck inside the chamber as in my case, I had to find a way to extract the hot air above it into the room.

I've tried a 2-blade from "My Stove Fan", a 4-blade from "L-Best stove accessary" and a 4-blade from Gif4yourhome / VIOLA-tech. I've even tested the fans side by side, and also individually and measured the temperature increase in the room thanks to each one of the fans, and tried to be objective with...
