Amy.in.NY: This is a replacement for my old yoga mat, which my cat decided to shred. It is a comfortable size for basic yoga stretches, poses & relaxation. It's a little on the thin side, but that is a personal preference. I didn't have any problems with it slipping or bunching up, and the surface has enough grip to hold a pose without sticking or slipping. There was a little "plastic-y" smell when I opened it- if you are sensitive, let it air out before use. I am pleased with my purchase!

Janet M.: This mat has a certain sponginess that makes it pleasant for your knees and also has a good grip. I find it comfortable and like that it doesn't stretch out of shape, as in lengthen at inappropriate moments like some thicker mats.
