Robert Flaming: The media could not be loaded. I am so impressed with this opener. It has proved to be versatile and easy to install. I did make a few modifications that were easy to perform. I removed the magnetic switch from the unit and installed two external switches. One for the open limit and the other for the close limit. This allowed me to put the magnets on the fence where I wanted so they were less visible and makes for a better cosmetic appearance. I purchased a Genie brand universal radio receiver so I could operate the gate with the built in home link transmitters in my Ford Expedition. It works perfectly. The led lights on the control panel are a great asset in setting up the switches and sensors. I installed a c channel bar that cradles the chain so you don’t see it sagging. I welded it to the end brackets for better structure. I have also added it to my home automation system so I can control it remotely and keep track of open or close status. I like this item so much that I plan to purchase another unit to operate the removable roof on my pergola. The garage door opener I was using did not survive the outdoor elements. I think this is the perfect solution. It will...

Don W.: Very nice unit. My gate is only 12 feet wide, and has a slight uphill incline. This unit works fine. Instructions were quite clear to me, but I was an electronic engineer. There was a fair amount of fabrication involved to make it work with my gate. The LED's on the board really helped getting the sensors adjusted before I actually hooked up the chain.
Since I had to bury conduit to get electricity to the box, I also ran some control wires and made a little push button control box to operate the gate from inside my house. Very simple and works well.
Also purchased the remote wireless keypad. Programming was simple and straight forward as far as opening/closing the gate. I would like to program the the second function to operate the pedestrian mode, but have yet to figure that out.
I highly recommend this gate opener, but the installer needs to be a fairly handy person.

CCracker: I installed this to move a pole barn door on my property. I mounted it upside down 14' above the ground, and using it to move a 20' steel door. I could not find an electric sliding door controller under $1,000. After fabricating brackets to mount the chain to the inside of the door, and the magnets to the door, it is working flawlessly.
It actually has many variables and settings. While the manual was obviously a poor attempt at translating Chinese to English, it definitely gives you enough directions to install. If I didn't have to fabricate all sorts of parts for my installation, this would have been a 1 hour install.
The remote has great range, and it also has the option for "soft close". It also has 4 potentiometers to adjust door sensitivity, door closing strength, soft close speed, and braking speed. Soft close is VERY nice, and once I figured out that it doesn't actually soft close the first two times after a power cycle (I was unplugging it during my testing), I figured out how to set it up so the last foot of opening and closing it slows way down. This is a very nice option.
The control board has many LED's, and anyone installing this should use them...

Tor O Holm: The units works well and looks good. There are a couple of items that could be better. First the magnetic pickups. There are many different designs of gates and these does not have any adjustment possibility except sideways. There are no backing plate for the bolts to hold on to the gate and since the magnetic switch need rater accurate position in regards to distance it is important that there are adjustment possibility. Could easy be done by making the bracket adjustable or the bolt on the pickup longer.
The manual is really not clear and easy to understand. Think the language is not the best and the explanation for some of the tasks is not good.
Exs. the deleting of remotes. It say" Press the learning button so that the light is on. Then loosen it slowly until the light goes out" What do you mean with loosen? I have tried many ways but this don't work.
Another issues is when you have two gates with same equipment. Should be explained how to program the remotes to operate each gate individually.
