Certainly not a high end guitar, but is easy to play and makes a great campfire guitar. Only issue I had was with glue on the neck. I had to use some super fine steel wool to remove some glue on the bottom of the neck. Other than that no complaints.

Lucy Plotner: First and foremost, this guitar is a beginner's guitar. That being said, it is excellent for a beginner. Once the strings are upgraded, this guitar sounds better than expected and comes with a decent bag too. Only problem I had was that I was unable to lower the action on the guitar, even with WD-40 it wouldn't loosen. However, if you're trying to lower or raise the action you're probably going to want a better guitar anyway, so not much of an issue. Overall, great value for the money.

Kamron: This is a great first guitar. I had a lot of hesitation as I can be kinda rough on guitars since I mostly play metal. To my surprise, its help up really well. There's pretty minimal damage on the frets, the base is still holding up with no signs of wear. Since it comes with a case I've been able to take it anywhere I go that I wanna take it. It still sounds really crisp as long as its tuned and the aux connection shows no signs of even damage. Overall, best 100-ish I ever spent. I've even managed to not lose a pick in it. Yet..

Ken middleton: I ordered and paid for an Ashthorpe guitar. What I received looked like what I wanted. Firstly, the name on the guitar and gig bag was R. W. Jameson. Who are they? Has the company changed its name? Do I not deserve the courtesy of being informed of this? Now let me say, it looks like the picture, plays nice, so unless it falls to bits in the meantime, I am NOT sending it back
I did message the seller that the extra set of string advertised were not supplied. The guitar barely fits the gig bag. Heard nothing back naturally.
I am surprised that Amazon have allowed a stunt like this to be to done on their site. Anyway, said my piece, but all this, to me, seems a bit sketchy to be honest. Would I buy another guitar through Amazon? Probably get the name Hoover on the headstock and gig bag.

WillWill: I wanted to share my experience with the Ashthorpe C-85. Is this a perfect guitar, no. However, there is a lot to like about this item.
First and foremost, this guitar is intended for a beginner to intermediate player on a budget looking for a thinline, parlor, or concertina style body. This particular model offers a 3" body with a 20 fret neck, similar in length to a dreadnaught.
The sound is great. It is bright and rich with full treble and midtones. The low end is a bit tempered but as good as any parlor and concertina body I have played. Honestly, the sound is the best feature of this guitar, I was blown away.
The guitar I recieved had 2/64 neck relief out of the box. The plastic nut was perfect. When playing strings on the first and second fret it was in perfect pitch when matched against a Snark Super Tight tuner.
The plastic saddle is slightly high for my taste, but to be expected on a guitar out of the box. Good manufacturers err to the high side and this one is as it should be from a good manufacturer. During my setup I only needed to take 3/64 off the saddle to get 4/64 string height at the low E and 5/64 string height at the high E when...

Mark B SchmittMark B Schmitt: I've played 4 years... and I bought this for a "knock around" due to the positive reviews, and I was pleasantly rewarded.
Yes, I had to file the bridge down a tiny bit and I put a name brand string on it, but the lumber is good; And so are the electronics.
And the machine heads are also staying in tune, too.
Overall, it's a fun guitar that sounds good, too!
I may grab a couple more that I can setup for a few different alternate tunings at this price point.
Enjoy!
