Cc: I put these on all of my windows this winter. I have noticed a huge difference in the temperature. My windows were very drafty and now I don’t feel any cold air coming through. It’s easy to do once you get the hang of it. I’m hoping my utility bill will reflect a decent savings this winter!

Mutive: I purchased this kit - along with some glass door kits - in a desperate attempt to lower my heating bill.

It's worked! My natural gas usage is something like half of what it was!!!

As a negative, the kits do make it impossible to open the sliding glass doors and do leave the windows a bit less "pretty". But to me, that's worth it in exchange for not freezing to death/spending $$$ this winter.

The kits are pretty easy to use and install and, IMO, include everything you need. (I may buy more double sided tape separately if I'm able to remove the plastic film and save it for next year.)

Gena Lane: I have always bought this every year and was always happy. Don't know why but for some reason this time I had issues with the tape not sticking and the plastic would not shrink as intended. Don't know if it was a bad product batch made or what. I had to go out and buy other window plastic. First time this has happen with this product.

Adam McWey: So the functionality of the product is good. It does in fact keep the draft out.

The problems with this product are as follows:
1, The double sided tape only stuck 50% of the time (surfaces were thoroughly washed and dried)
2, While putting the plastic on the tape, it was very easy to get wrinkled
3, Pretty rough looking
4, Our hair dryer didn't really shrink it enough to be noticeable

Sometimes the tape sticks, sometimes it doesn't, don't know why. Transparency is fair, you will get some wrinkles/creases in the plastic - this isn't the best looking.

It works! It's just a tedious process that caused me a headache (and I consider myself pretty handy). I found that heating the tape as I stuck it to the wall helped it to adhere better, but not enough to write home about.

Price wise, it is worth it.

A. Thomas: For context my window was broken in an attempted burglary. Only the bottom panels were broken. My dad installed a replacement glass but it was only single pane. It has a draft and I lucked upon this item. This was easy to install. Took a second to figure out peeling off the tape backing but super easy afterwards.

Had a major cold front blowing in and got this installed before the winds increased. In the past the room would loose 10° of its heat and this morning maintained 75° no heat or A/C all night. Before bed thermostat was at 78°. Very satisfied.
