mwm: Purchased first one June 2020, has held up well. Couple of months ago started to get brittle and crack. I have it going over a sidewalk so easy to lift up when we need to wheel something by, etc. This extender sits where the sun is on it daily, in the down position so it also gets the heat from the concrete during the summer. Our weather conditions over the 3 years have been between -2 degrees F to over 105 degrees F. Very please it lasted as long as it did when I first saw it. Hope this second one is made from the same materials and no shortcuts were taken like in thickness, etc. Paid $5 more for this item 3 years ago so well see what changed.

KitaB10: I haven't used it yet. It appears to be able to work for my needed, but I may need to only use half of it for my needs. Seems very strong and sturdy.

Lomatium: Though it kinda almost works, there is no mechanism to latch it while it is upright. Nor if its down either. So its just blowing in the wind. Might come home and find its blown right into the crack along your foundation that you are trying not to drain anymore water into, so.... I mean unless you aren't haven't an actual problem and don't live where there is climate extremes happening- maybe it would work for you, but I would would look elsewhere really for something to at least make it through one season and deliver water away from your house. Like concrete drains or french drains primarily made out of plastic and gravel.

Update: After less than one year the Montana wind broke the extendable slide off, I duct taped it for a while, but over the summer I just tilted up the remain portion, then threw away the broken extension just sitting in my garage. What was there changed from dark brown to light brown in the sun, yet here I am trying to buy another one like it because I can't solve my bad drainage issue another way. Sharon G. Dunn: extremly dificult to pry apart, not very sturdy cannot stand our winter cracks easily, would not recommend buying , only good for spring &summer otherwise i would not buy this again not worth the money

Dee: I really like this product idea, have had 3, but wont be buying anymore. Got brittle after 1 winter causing cracks and pieces breaking off. A brand new one melted (was in the sun, 31 degrees). The plastic is very poor quality.

BrandiBrandi: I opened this too late to return it and discovered that the extension piece is missing. So instead of 6 feet it is only 3 feet long, not long enough. Not sure if this is the maker or Amazon's fault but either way it wont serve my purpose.

Slow Moving Fun SeekerSlow Moving Fun Seeker: I had a set of these that lasted for a number of years. Gradually, they flattened out and warped to the point where they needed replacing. Bought this new set and installed one last evening. Today, less than 24 hours later, the bright sun had melted the extension part of the device. It flattened out so that it no longer would carry water; it was just a flat surface. What a tremendous disappointment. I don't know how these could possibly work for anyone, when a morning of sunlight ruins the item and renders it unusable. I will attempt to return these. Speechless, really.

AO: I usually don't write reviews but I have been searching for a product like this . It takes the water completly away from the house ...I wished the white was available when I ordered but brown is fine as long as water is away from the house
