AW: This stuff works great. Has been around for years, has been proven and tested. I saw nitrite in my tank within a day I think. Don't remember how long the cycle lasted but it was around or under a week on my 75.
You will need more if dosing to a brand new tank. Read the instructions on Fritz's website.
Really happy and will buy again if I ever start up a new build or move my aquarium to a new place.

Cody: Surprisingly this stuff actually worked for me. Started my tank with old dead dry rock and Fiji pink “live” sand. Nothing from any established tank, no fish, no coral, about as dry start as it gets. Dumped in this bottle and dosed ammonia up to 2ppm. Within a couple days ammonia was dropping so I dosed a bit more. Tank was clearing ammonia in about a week. Did a big water change to drop nitrites and trates and added a couple hermits. By week 2 the tank was already at 0 nitrites and still clearing ammonia so it’s not just suspended bacteria in the water column. Also changed filter floss during this time and that had no effect on bacteria colony.

Be sure to read up and understand what you are doing. Even with this stuff I always recommend a fish less cycle!

Derek Roth: Worked almost too well. Had to really over feed in order to not have too clean of water. Didn't speed up cycle time like advertised though. Can't speed up nature imo. This merely helped add the bacteria for nitrification

Brad kBrad k: What I like best is it was packed properly, Thank you!! Also nice big fresh bottle of beneficial bacteria. 9 strains and when opened it has a clear pink solution. They say to shake well and I shook the living heck out of this bottle and when I empty the entire bottle into my tank you would not believe the big chunks that were floating around on the bottom of the tank, I let the water circulate for a few hours and the big chunks never came apart. I ended up using a fish net to catch all the garbage that was floating around throughout my aquarium. I'll never buy Fritz products again.

Villan 70: I recently set up my first reef aquarium and was recommended to use FritzZyme 9 to maintain water quality. I'm so glad I did! It contains live beneficial bacteria that break down waste and other organic matter in the water, which keeps my aquarium healthy and free from ammonia.

Chris Chaples: The biggest fish in my tank died under a rock somewhere and I could not find it. The water became milky and smelled putrid. I did a couple large water changes as fast as my RO unit and pre-heater would allow. The water changes helped, but not for very long.

I ordered this product with next-day shipping. The putrid smell started going away within hours of dosing this. The next day, the tank was still cloudy but I could actually see the back again. The day after that it was mostly clear again. After a week it was crystal clear, even clearer than before all this happened! I have been dosing the remainder of the bottle periodically and I really feel like it has rejuvenated my reef tank.

I dosed AmGuard throughout the whole ordeal to protect my livestock from ammonia spikes while the bacteria did it's thing. I think it was a good combo. I didn't lose any other livestock.

Alberto Pantaleon: I've been using this for a year, and add it to my tank after every water change. It works wonderfully and does what it says. Though I didn't read the fine print on how much to use, I was not using enough. 60ml for every 5 gallons. I definitely was not using enough, though it still worked with what I used. Now, using the correct amount my SW tank looks even better, and certainly helps keep it stable. Having a 25 gallon tank has its challenges, and Zyme 9 helps combat any lack of beneficial bacteria my tank may need. I would highly recommend using this as part of your water change regiment. It won't fail you, and it used for tanks with New Tank Syndrome and Established Tanks, just be sure to add the correct amount as stated for what your intended purpose is, it won't kill anything, but too much of something could damage your coral. This is also great to use just after treating your tank and do a water a change to recover quickly. I had cyno bacteria in my tank, I treated it for a few days, killed it, did a water change, and then added Zyme 9 and next day my tank looked beautiful.

R. Parsons: Update: So the Fritzzyme is kicking butt when it comes to Ammonia and Nitrites. Ammonia never going above .25 ppm (which is something I never accomplished before this), and Nitrite is always zero. Nitrate, however, is the new issue. Seems like the bacteria gets ammonia to Nitrate and then quits. My Nitrate levels are getting to 100ppm, causing me to do water changes to get it back down. Contemplating Red Sea Nitrate Remover bio to finish the job.

So my review was originally going to be a 2 or 3 star, but given some time the Fritzzyme seems to have finally kicked in. But, upon adding the liquid I decided to do triple recommended dose; it says you can do 10x, as my small aquarium was struggling with Ammonia, constantly reporting 4ppm. I was using another bio liquid that didn't seem to be cutting it. I did a 33% water swap and added the Fritzzyme. The first thing that sucked is I think the bacteria seemed to throw off the algae in my Blue Blubber Jellyfish, and he died within 24 hours -- it was sudden and swift -- of adding the liquid. I tested the water about 24 - 30 hours later and ammonia was still at 4 ppm. I was bumming on this but then tested 48 hours after the first...
