GD: Easy to use and makes great ice cubes!

Dennis A. LeMay: This is actually a very good product. But I noted that the unit cannot be used in continual usage (i.e. running 24/7) that's the draw back. If you do, the exhaust fan will fail exactly one year after purchase. Even when you use it with a good clearance. Once the fan stops working, then the ice will gradually stop.

Ash: Very convenient and nice to have when ice is in demand in a home with a bunch of kid's.
Sadly only had it for about 6 months before the mechanism that dumps the ice into the tray broke at one of its two attachment points. It still makes ice but it's not working at a 100%.

Stephen R. Buce: I received my ice maker yesterday and put it to use right away. It makes ice fast very fast. Ice is a bit on the wet side but that's ok because as soon as the basket was full I put the ice in my water jug and cup which I bring to work. It made more ice than I needed so I put the extra in the freezer but after 20 minutes I needed to break the ice up because the unit makes somewhat wet ice cubes. While I have not had the unit for long I am impressed so far and if it lasts a year or two I will be happy.

Kem: Last Saturday my old Frigidaire ice maker, that was 2-1/2 years old died. Sunday I ordered a new Frigidaire for my bedroom, you don't know how much you miss ice, until you have none.
This machine was on the reduced cost list, as having some sort of damage. If it is damaged, I don't know what it is, because it looks and functions great. Added water, and let it run till it used up all the water and the basket was full. Functions absolutely beautiful! This machine is very quiet, I only hear it when it dumps the ice cubes.
So I figured I am going to throw the old ice machine away,,,,,but wait! Let's tear it down and see what's wrong, if I can see the problem. Old machine needs a motor that controls the ice trough. Simple fix. New little motor is $13.49 on Amazon. So now I have two machines. Don't throw your machine out, if it stops working, tear into it and see what the problem is before putting it in the trash!

And for the complainers out there saying the ice melts away, yes it does! THIS IS NOT A FREEZER OR REFRIGERATOR! IT ONLY MAKES ICE!!
Thanks. Kem. 09/06/23

Mary L: I bought this when our freezer's ice maker conked out, resulting in damage to our hardwood floors. The unit is very easy to set up; remove packaging, wipe down, fill with water, and turn on. Recommend keeping it in a location where the whirring noise won't be as bothersome. The light indicators signal if the unit's basket is filled and will stop making ice until the dispenser is emptied. Two bullet shaped cube sizes. The large cubes are a smidge wider than the diameter of a water bottle spout and about one inch in length. A complete cycle (40-45 minutes for the large cubes) to fill the basket yields enough cubes to fill about half of a gallon zip bag. The main drawback, costing one star, is that the ice is wet and tends to clump when you put it in the freezer. We freeze several zip bags-worth of ice at a time and dump them into our fridge ice dispenser as needed. The countertop icemaker saved us from an expensive appliance repair and the need to schlep to the store several times a week to buy ice.

Annonymous mom: Great little compact ice maker for ice making overflow, however, the only issue is if you don't scoop the ice out IMMEDIATELY from the tray once its made, it melts. This causes the ice cubes to stick together and clump. Otherwise, pretty good but should cost less due to this issue! Should be under $75 for what it is.

C Brandon: Picked this up as my kids love ice and I can't keep up. Makes ice pretty quick, and it's been going pretty much ever since I bought it. The ONLY negative is the price. One month after I picked it up at what was supposed to be a Amazon Prime Deal, Costco has it regular priced at $99. The exact same name brand. Ouch. Other than the price difference, great unit.

Marianne McNannyMarianne McNanny: Within an hour the basket was full! At first the ice is thin, then by the third cycle they’re thicker. This picture shows both the thin and thick ones. This unit is perfect for filling are thermal glasses! Much more easy for mom too, as she’s older and it’s hard for her to twist ice cube trays if I’m not around to help.
