MrCrabbs: The media could not be loaded.  The plastic is a bit soft and the o-ring is quite stiff so it takes a good bit of force to make the connection so it doesn’t strip the ears. Push in hard to compress the o-ring before you twist.

Timothy R. Fugmann: The part fits well enough, but the seal doesn’t seat very well and the plastic mount tabs aren’t really strong enough to add sufficient pressure to the seal to make it seat well. Add in the rigidity of the proper sized drain tube and the force will cause the drain seal to move and leak. I had to use a smaller diameter tube in the drain and make it work!

Robert Alan Koeneke: I have been living with a dipping window air-conditioner onto my cement porch for a long, long time. I finally decided I was going to make a pipe to fit the water drain and lo-and-behold there already is one.

Fitted perfectly and with some tubing the water is now dripping next to the foundation (actually good for the foundation if it is clay soil). I used some plastic ramp covers to protect the hose and make it presentable. System is in place and working perfectly for weeks now.

Bette: I ordered, paid and waited... opened the sealed bubble envelope, I opened the sealed outer plastic package, I opened the sealed plastic inner bag, which contained both the connector and instruction sheet. Only on that sheet did it say only for Frigidaire window air conditioners (yes, I have that) with serial numbers that begin with "KK." Oops, mine begins with "HK." If this Amazon page had told me this I would not have spent my time AND MONEY.

Aegean: I installed it on my Comfort Air 15,000 BTW window AC and it was a perfect fit. Great accessory which is necessary. Don't know why this doesn't come with most of the AC but anyways, AC drains water properly now.

David M Moyer: This drain does the trick - but it took some messing around first. The drain fit into the air condition with no issues. It was needed for an installation where the air condition was more or less in the house (enclosed, through the wall installation, but the rear of the air condition sat flush with the wall due to design of apartment). The issue occured when the drain tubing (not included) was attached to the drain. It weighed the drain to one side, and caused the seal to be broken enough for water to drip out of the seal. This was fixed by fashioning a support system to prop the hose up, allowing the drain to reseal. I had contemplated getting another one for my window unit, but I haven't figured out how I would support the drain plug yet.

Geronimo: I needed to install a small AC in a storeroom/workshop area adjacent to my home attached garage. I cut and framed a hole in the wall, and let the hot end of the AC just dump into my already unbearably hot Florida garage, and let the cool end blow into the area I was going to occupy for projects. This area already had a sink in it. My AC window unit was not a Frigidaire, so I carefully did a little disassembly, drilled a hole towards the front of the base taking care not to harm any of the AC innards, filed the hole until it was the right diameter, and finally filed notches on either side of the hole such that I could insert the ear tabs, rotate the thing 90 degrees to point it towards the sink and attached a vinyl hose. Worked for me!
