CanIGoNow: I had a subscription to that expensive, color-changing litter for a few years. I was happy with it initially, but something changed and eventually 2 bags barely lasted 10 days with my 2 cats. I was spending a ridiculous amount of money trying to keep up with it, so I started looking for other non-clay, non-clumping options and found this. The one bag has already lasted twice as long as the previous litter, and for a fraction of the price. Only cons are the scent, which is good and bad; it covers any odor, but I don’t think my cats are too jazzed about it. Still, it doesn’t bother them enough to avoid the litter box, but I may try an unscented version if I can find one. Other than that, the crystals are rather large, which, again, is good and bad; it doesn’t track nearly as much, doesn’t get stuck to paws or fluffy butts, but it’s less comfortable to step on. Again, not prohibitively uncomfortable, but worth noting if your cats are sensitive to such things. Overall, I’m happy and will likely continue to order.

REB: Some users have mentioned the large granules are unpleasant when stepped on, but a good-size litter mat will capture most of the excess.

The price may seem high for 8 lbs, but it lasts twice as long as 12 lbs of regular litter, absorbs better, is lighter weight, and no dust. Just scoop the poops daily and stir the litter well from the bottom and 8 lbs will last a month.

I gave four out of five stars for a rather silly reason: the bright blue color is annoying and draws too much attention to what should be unobtrusive. A neutral tan or gray would be more subdued and "natural."

Honey Solomon: So pleased to find this product available with Amazon Prime! Fresh Step crystals have been an absolute favorite since it was introduced. I remember my mother helping me with my first cat's (Siamese) sand box! Over the years since 1955, I have tried just about every litter system/boxes available. The fabulous felines who have shared my life (I'll be 72 December 27) included rescues, just arrivals and pure breeds. Persians with their long silky fur to those beloved domestic short/long hair have chosen Fresh Step when offered a choice. Doesn't irritate pads or stick to paws, furry tails or bottoms. I find the scent very agreeable (fresh and clean) . . . much better than toilet bowl cleaners! One little lady has long fur with a fluffy tail and she is meticulous in her grooming ritual (especially after being brushed). Now add a big gal that's a domestic short hair calico so I need litter that they will share. They have a triangular low side (lower step in area) litter box (available on Amazon). The calico enjoys seeing just how much litter she can scatter and the other is more concerned about her elegant puffy tail.

KAROLLINE IMMANUELKAROLLINE IMMANUEL: ever since ive had my babies (twin cat sisters) i picked this bag accidentally to be 100% honest. was new to the world of litter. however when this bag ran out and i went to buy the same thing, it was out of stock which is what it usually is where i live, OUT OF STOCK! so i went and bought another crystals litter for the time being, not thinking much! and lo behold my babies jumped in and out of the litter the whole day but would not do their business! finally end of day i started to get worried and called all the possible stores that could have it, found one at the other end of where i lived, hastily drove there and my babies appreciate the effort well! (if you know what i mean)

so, to sum it up... its been 4.5 years now and never tried any other litter because i simply know THIS IS THE BEST! most expensive yes, but BEST and worth every dime. no smell, no wet clumps, no blocks and chunks of litter that completely become a rock and you have to change the entire litter every week!! babies LOVE it! runs for min 3 weeks up to 4 weeks 1 bag of 4 lb in a household of 2 babies WITHOUT ANY SMELL!
