Annabelle: This clock does have a sound as the second hand works its way around. Otherwise it is great and doesn't tick, but I wouldn't say its silent, which is what I was looking for.

Amazon Customer: I really liked this clock, but for the last month, it won't keep time. I've changed the battery and it keeps losing time. I know I didn't pay very much for the clock, but I had one similar that I bought from Walmart and it's lasted for years. This clock I bought in September 2021, so it didn't even last 2 years.
