Amazonaddict: Hopefully it’s the purple passion flower

Hermit: They are good cuttings, fully rooted in the cubes they come in. I accidently left them in the mailbox for two days in 110 degree temperatures so it could have gotten up to 120 or so in the mailbox. I fully expected them to be dead when I went to open them up, but they are still alive just a little thirsty. Im sure they will perk back up though. I was a little disappointed there was bug holes eaten in the leaves, but I put them under the microscope and there wasn't any bugs on there. Ill spray them to be sure, and they should take off, despite me leaving them in the mailbox.

Demonweb Click Clacks: I heeded the warnings of the other reviews and ordered these in spring, and I'm glad I did. I managed to get all 4 plants to survive. I gave one to a friend who also gardens when I first got them and just gave another to my church (the name comes from "Passion of Christ" and a lot of the pastors there like plants, so I thought it would be perfect) and the two I kept are doing great. my experience so far is that leaving the plant under a grow light for 10-12 hours a day makes it grow like crazy (I have one on my nightstand where it can't get sun and usually just leave the light on from dawn to dusk) and deep watering once a week with a bunch of all-purpose fertiliser once every other week and well-draining soil work well. I'm using an 11-inch pot for the one on my nightstand and plan to move the other to an 8-inch once I get space, but from what I've read, you should use the biggest pot possible for your space. also, apparently this variety is self-pollinating, so if they all survive delivery, you'll be free to only keep one and still get fruit. mine didn't do too well outside, but that was probably just because I kept forgetting to fertilise it. I've also heard these grow like...

Vincent LinVincent Lin: Arrived with all healthy from USPS.

However, I was surprised to find the 2" pots were the height not the openings which are only 1.25". The plant height are about 2" from the soils.

The plants are claimed to be grown from cutting. However, I'm wandering how can they be so small. Most keep about 2-3 knots from cuttings, and the typical smallest lengths from the cutting are longer than 4".

My previous experiences were able to get passion fruits at least from September, sometimes from June, from fresh cuttings in the area of Houston, Texas. However, because of the smaller sizes, I'm hesitated if I can get any fruit before the freezes in the next year.

They seem to be grown from indoor. Therefore, I transplant them to 1 gallon pots with about 1/2 inch water under the pots and keep them away from direct sun. Passion fruits need a lot of moisture but the roots cannot be soaked into water. I will move them to the direct sun after a week of transition to promote the growth to see if I can get any fruit before the next freeze.

After 5 weeks, they all grow well to about 10" as shown in the photos.
