Bec: This book was amazing, like shining a light on exactly how we feel as foster carers sometimes. It’s amazing to have a Christian view point to all we do as foster carers. This book made me feel seen. Every Christian foster carer should have this book.

Amazon Customer: So Jamie’s book made me both want to foster yesterday and run for the hills. Her honesty about the struggles was appreciated and I think valuable to know what the world of fostering can be like. Although I felt intimidated and overwhelmed by some of the scenarios she described, the reflections and profound depth of her calling to fostering was very inspiring. I left feeling motivated to reach deep down and step outside of my own fear to live more boldly my Christian faith through loving the lesser of these.

Devon: Jamie’s book covers a variety of topics that foster parents are likely to encounter in their journey and she continually and beautifully points to the gospel of Jesus Christ. She’s real and relatable in her writing, sharing some very real struggles in her own home, but providing parents with resources and encouragement to navigate a broken system. Definitely recommend to any foster parents, social workers, church leaders, etc!!

S.W.: Jamie Finn’s Instagram posts have been an encouragement to me for awhile. It was so fun to sit and read chapters of the same subjects that she touches on in her ig posts. I was blessed to hear her heart for her children, their families and what God calls us to in the midst of all of it. So excited to read your next book!

kyle chatfieldkyle chatfield: My husband and I have been licensed to foster for a few months, and we're in the process of waiting for our first placement.
This book was so encouraging. It's a reminder of why we have decided to step into this mission. I'll read this over and over again.
I'll read this when we have the first guest in our home, when I'm looking for hope, when I need a reminder of the "why", when I need to hear the Gospel, when I'm having a hard night or again, in the process of waiting.
These words and perspectives: they're for every Christian.
Yes, you can read this through the lens of foster care, but it can be read by anyone striving to look more like Christ or grow closer to Him.
I stopped in moments of reading to praise God, to dive into the Word, and just to pray... It truly drew me closer to my God each time I read a chapter.
Get this book if you know someone who has a heart for foster care; it could be the biggest way to support them.
Get this book if you're thinking of fostering, or if you're in the process of licensing.

Karissa P.: I am devouring this book. Crying my way through and feeling so encouraged. Jamie rightfully (and lovingly) centers the reader’s view of foster care on Christ and the family. I am a prospective foster parent and currently work for a dependency judge. This encourages my faith in wading through heart wrenching situations - this is where Christ calls us to be, as Jamie so kindly encourages.
I am recommending or giving this book to every Christian I know fostering, considering foster care or somehow involved in the foster care system. Thank you Jamie for opening your heart, asking the hard questions and inviting us to seek God with you through all the joy and pain.
