A.N. Hutchinson: This is such a fun book! It has tons of random facts in it and activities which is just what I needed for my son. I was trying to get him interested in reading because he claims he doesn’t like to read but if it’s something interesting I find him sitting down and reading it. That’s what he does with this book, In fact, he gets so excited about the facts in this book such as “What are the 10 most favorite desserts” that he quizzes everybody on it and thinks it’s a hoot. I love seeing him happy about reading.

Laya McLeod: Essentially the exact same page for page as the 2021 almanac

Andreea: The pages are 90% the same as 2021. Very few activities, more like a calendar, not an almanac.

Marlyne Natali: I bought this book as a gift for another family. I leafed through the book and it looks like it could be a lot of fun for everyone in the family. It is only set up for one year, 2022, but I still think it will make a fun gift for them.

Julie: There are pages with beloved Highlights activities like search and find or what's wrong with this picture puzzles. The pages are glossy and the book is very big, so it's tricky to write on the pages with puzzles like crosswords -- not made for that type of puzzle though can be used. The set-up is month by month with a calendar starting each section that lists all the made-up and real holidays that month. Then most of the pages in each section are devoted to fun facts about the made-up holidays, except the holidays don't appear in order within the section. You can't just turn to a page for each day of the year. The holiday info sections are formatted according to page space so you have to hop around in each section to find the holidays -- not in chronological order, in other words. Makes it ideal for browsing rather than daily use. I thought a 6 yr old friend would enjoy this, but he won't be able to read it on his own and it isn't conducive to shared reading. He could find the activity pages to do, but the bulk of the pages on the holidays will be wasted on him. Instead, I'm thinking my 10 yr old who is a big foodie will get the most out of this because most of the made-up...
