Katie: After seeing how obsessed my son (13M) was with the "100 First Words" book of this series, I decided to get a few more to add to his collection. This is one of the books that he can easily turn the pages himself, and he really keeps himself busy and entertained looking at all of the pictures. They are also VERY durable. Not all board books are created equal. These he can bend 5 ways to Sunday and they still look brand new. I haven't had any that have ripped or cracked, which is IMPRESSIVE. I'm sure I'll be buying more for him in the future!

Jann Elaine: The bad:
There are two penguins, two lions, two (three) owls, and two moths. Why? What happened to the editing process?
They also call a turtle a "terrapin" which seems a bit technical for a book of this nature.
The good:
The book is very sturdily made, the pictures are beautiful and crisp. I like the way they categorize them by type.
I am sure we will get much use out of this.
