DiscerningConsumer: Always a dilemma for the elegant slender Kindle: A case will pretty much guarantee the Kindle will survive a drop or being roughly packed somehow. But the trade off is a balance between a slim minimal cover and this one. After reading about broken corners on those thin covers I opted for this version. It was similar to an old one I'd had for many years made by a now defunct company. I chose black with the brown edge because the interior part that holds the Kindle is black and matches it. I think that is very important. I would have preferred a different color on the outside, but I wanted the part I looked at more to be more seamless. Let's face it, this is not the most streamlined holder, but it gets the job done. I don't worry about damage if something goes awry. The wake on opening feature works well, and there is a flap on the inside vertical edge that keeps the Kindle securely positioned. The holder was a bit stiff at first to fold back behind the Kindle, but that has not been a problem. The exterior surface seems quite good, but I've only had it a month. I would like to think I could get a number of years of use out of it given the price. I...

Ryan Armishaw: I'll admit that I was sceptical when buying this case. But, the second I opened the box, I was impressed. It is clear that the company considers this a quality product, and have acted accordingly. The case was well protected - no damage would be possible during transit. The actual case material is beautiful. It feels great in your hand. The design for inserting your Kindle is wonderful and easy. Power off/on works very well. I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase.

This case fit the budget and the protection I was looking for. Right now it’s so hard to judge a book by it’s cover *giggles* when relying solely on online shopping. I patiently went through every review, every photo, every spec of detail I could find to figure out exactly what would suit best to protect the reader while incorporating me and my personality. I couldn’t be happier making the choice I made due to the info provided and comparing to others. Here’s why I love this cover:

I read about case corners cracking because of the plastic cases being cheap. This has no corner covering WOOT! I call it breathe-able corners. There's nothing covering said corners, so theres no need to stretch the covering, or suffocate the corners. I do love the super tight hold of the velcro securing the reader in place. You should be anle to see that nicely placed on the inside bind of the cover, truly well placed in my opinion.

Solennel: After years of eschewing e-readers, then gradually using mobile versions, I bought a Paperwhite about a year and a half ago, during a sale. I was going back and forth between the Paperwhite and the Oasis, as I was an Audible user, and also like to read in the bath.

I bought a denim/dark blue Finitie folio case for my chosen Paperwhite, and was really pleased with it.

Now, I’ve upgraded to the new Paperwhite for its Audible and waterproof functionality. I was pleased enough with my last Fintie case (still looks brand new!), that I ordered the same for the new Paperwhite model, albeit in a different color (Denim Gray).

My first observation right out of the packaging was that the fabric material is softer. I don’t mean more pliable, although the cover does not seem as thick/sturdy, but the fabric itself is a brushed texture, like flannel, whereas my older case’s fabric is definitely more like a hard wearing denim or stiff canvas (Denim Indigo folio).

It’s actually a pleasant tactile change, however, I’m concerned whether or not it will wear as well as my old case has, although I’ve only has that one about a year and...
