Finish Powder Dishwasher Detergent: Clean Dishes with Ease

Arlene : I find that the Finish dishwasher powder is a superior cleaner to the “Powerballs” I tied several powerball products and was not satisfied. I returned to using the Finis Dishwasher powder and it cleans much better. I am very satisfied with it.

Lewis A. Shepard: I wanted to try an alternative to pods and this is it. I do not follow Wirecutter all that often but they said this was a good powder and they were right. The spout is problematic but I've gotten used to it. Very economical and old fashioned.

John Supple: This works very well on hard to clean stuff like old eggs and oatmeal. Dishes come out shiny and clean with very little spotting.
My only complaint would be the shipping. I ordered once and it was loose in a box, and very fine soap powder was all over everything. Nothing was damaged but it was hard to clean. All the other times the shipper placed it in a bag when it was shipped with other items.

mg: Quick delivery. This Finish was just written up as one of the best dishwashing detergents so I’ve given it a try, and it’s great. I didn’t know detergents do have a shorter shelf life than forever which is how long it takes us to use a box in our dish drawer.

Marc99: This was recommended to us by an appliance repair man. We'd been using liquid Cascade to fill the detergent compartment in our Bosch dishwasher, and our repair man told us 1) to use far less than a full compartment full, and 2) use powdered detergent, since the liquid (especially in the quantity we were using) was leading to a musty smell. We started using just a teaspoon of this powdered Finish and the smell began to dissipate. About a month later, the smell is nearly undetectable and the dishes come out sparking clean (note that our dishwasher is pretty high-end). I recommend using Finish rinse aid, too—the combination of these two products really makes dishes shine.
