I enjoyed reading the book. Its storyline contains action, adventure, suspense and a sweet romantic relationship. The characters are resourceful and strong. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next installment in this series.

This book was recommended to me by Amazon”s Kindle Unlimited based on other books I read. I recently read a series about Nagas and I enjoyed the books (especially Viper by Naomi Lucas) so I decided to give this book a try. I was a little turned off by the cover because the creature looked harsh and very cobra-like. But I pressed on and I’m so glad I did.
Without giving too much away, I will say that this story rates high on my romance scale. There was little conflict between the main characters. Their relationship flowed smoothly. I liked both characters and I didn’t fell the need to scream at my device at all. I was never bored and I finished the story in 2 days. It wasn’t a long book. Overall, this book reminds me of a Harlequin Romance but with a little more depth and set in an alien world.
Realistically, I would probably only give this book 4 stars because although I really enjoyed reading it, I don’t know how often I would be interested in rereading it. That’s usually a major requirement for tagging something as a favorite or 5 stars. Also, my eyes did glaze a teeny tiny bit at some of the landscape and nature descriptions....

Wow I cannot express how much I enjoyed this book, it is leaps and bounds ahead of what I was expecting. I won't lie, the cover had me both curious and a little apprehensive, it was a toss-up whether I'd find it refreshingly original or horrifying lol. The blurb totally suckered me into finding out. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I'm super picky on my romance novels because I've paid to read some real dirt along the way- you know the kind I mean- raunchy stuff with no other purpose or actual story written like a second grader typed it lol. This was not that! I honestly loved every single thing about this book and I bought the others in the series. Also something that I thought was super cool, it has sketches at the end of the book and in the x-ray feature so you can see how the author envisioned the couple and a few different species from the book.The authors superb writing stayed true to the snake features, didn't revolt me at any point, and was spicy good fun with epic storytelling. I really enjoyed this! I love nagas, and while I am happy they have grown more popular, I have found myself dissatisfied with most of the recent offerings. So it took me a while to get around to reading this one. I am glad I finally did!
My favorite aspect of this story was the light-hearted, affectionate relationship between the main couple. There were so many crazy cultural and physical differences between them (which I also loved), but instead of these things becoming points of contention, they were almost always sources of light comedy and amusement.
They were both good natured and characters and it was refreshing to find something other than the overbearing alpha male or the bullheaded, out-to-prove-something woman. They were strong characters without becoming caricatures.
And I have to give an extra nod to the H. I loved that he basically knew what he wanted and went for it right from the start. No angsty, wishy-washy drama from him. She had a little bit, but not as much as O had expected.

When I first saw this book I thought it was weird. It didn’t appeal to me. I thought, damn…a woman and a naga, that won’t work…Months later it appeared to me again, but with hundreds of 5 star ratings. Well, that got me curious. I don’t really have a reading fashion, alien, MM, RH, mafia, college, shifters, I like them all as long as the reading is good. I guess I had too see this one for myself. And I was beyond impressed. It is well written, light, funny, well paced, and a really tight storyline. The author did really convinced this matting was possible, in a sensible and loving way. Really well done.

It's refreshing to find a plot where the meaning of "alpha male" it's not the equivalent of overprotective master.
Also, females usually are projected as ignorant and weak, and so that "entitles" the males to order them around. I'm glad it's not the case in this book.
