Cynthia Bivens: These air filters are the best and really help. If you're suffering with pollen, pet, dust, or any other kind of allergies, these filters filter out a lot of those things, and makes your life much better. I use the higher MERV 13 because I have parrots and had cats, and the parrot dust, and cat dander and hair had me constantly sneezing, coughing, and miserable. Once I started using these filters, everything seemed much better. I highly recommend these filters, even if you don't suffer from allergies, dust, pollen, etc.

Periwinkle: I've been using these all summer long just smacked up against the back of box fans for air filters in our house--two in the main house and one in my bedroom. They work a treat! Even when the particulates are reading high outside they're barely there in the house, and although I'm still having a little bit of sinus problems I'm not waking up with headaches.

Amazon Customer: I taped a single Merve13 filter to a 20" fan to build a free standing air filter. I also taped four, 5" X 20" X 20" Merv 13 together with a 20" fan to build a second free standing unit. Both cleaned the air in my 2,400 square foot house after a few minutes - checked it out with an air quality meter.
Not much 'cleaning' difference in the two except the 5" one with a much greater filter area will last much longer before it needs to be replaced. I have a 5' filter in my furnace as well and change it every 6 months, but it probably would easily last a year. After 6-months there is only very little residue on the filter.

Kyle: Good price and product works well. Comes with quite a few filters but a couple of mine were missing hence the 4 star review as opposed to 5. My kitten wouldn't drink from standing water but immediately started to drink from the flowing water!

Had to deal with customer service and was really impressed : fast and took the right decision.
Made a ‘’home HVAC’’ system for under 100$CAD:
- 4 Merv 13 filters
- white duct tape
- bottom cardboard (the one used for shipping the filters)
- 20’’ fan
More powerfull and effective than most HVAC systems but without the docking in each room.

fivealex: During covid and ongoing lockdowns in Ontario getting out to a retail store, let alone finding the sizing (20x20) I was looking for was near impossible.
The filters, so far seem good/fine.
Ordered on a Sunday and arrived on the Friday.
Also, the pricing was competitive, no sales taxes, no import fees (item is shipped from USA) and delivered right to my door...what's not to like.

Update 3/6/2023: These are wonderful! We taped one to the back of an old $20 “Chinese” box fan 20” square and airborne dust particles, very evident floating in the air during bright sunshine, virtually disappeared. We then bought a 20” box fan with a hinged back made to accept filters of this type at more than twice the cost of one without this feature. It came with 1 filter with lower efficiency (larger air pass through openings) that we used initially but replaced filters since with these.

In 2-1/4 years we used 3 filters on each fan, running 14 hours a day, every day. Our initial concern was filter useful life and filters blocking the suction side of a fan may cause increased stress on cheap fan motors, especially since we run these high efficiency filters for a MUCH LONGER TIME than recommended by the manufacturer. The filter pores become somewhat blinded (plugged) over time making the fan motor work harder. This has not been a problem whatsoever with either the fans and their air throughput or the filter efficiency. Fans are operated on low speed, of 3, for their quietness. cathy pearson: This item arrived in a good amount of time. I ordered 20 x 20 x 1 as my last filter said. These, it was said were 20 x 20 x3/4 as that is how they were measured. I tried to get the filter into my furnace and I had to push it in. On measuring the other filters that I ordered, they were exactly 20 x 20 x1, not 3/4 and they did not fit. I did push the filter in as best as I could as the company said I was wrong with the measurement. I had to get my brother in to take the door off my furnace so as to get the filter out. The company was super about giving me a refund.
