Eel nad: The straps provided do not allow to pass through car as specified. Straps are not long enough and configuired with two male ends and no female ends. Equiped with female ends for roof racks or rails only.
If you do not have roof racks or rails DO NOT purchase this item.
Purchased prior to vacation and by the time was ready to use the return deadline had run out. Will try to return it after holiday.
Very discouraged.

SamnyncSamnync: So I bought this roof rack for a small trip approx 2hours45 minutes away.. I’ll start with PROS: Great size we put a large suitcase a small suitcase and 2 backpacks and still had room, it rained while we were driving and our luggage stayed dry, we had our trunk space clear for our trip items (food coolers etc) if you know bmw with the third row there’s no trunk space for trips lol now the CONS: This bag DID NOT come with the clips to secure to the door jam ( for vehicles with no roof rack), description says it come with clip straps (false advertising), it had so many I’ll call them “Male ends” that’s the sides with the points that would not connect on the opposite side to the “female ends” we now had to perform surgery and cross cross applesauce to get straps from one side to the other so bag would be secure HUGE HASSLE in the last two pics you will see my luggage shifted all the way back and to the side with the mat all rolled up under it praise GOD it didn’t flip off and cause anyone any injuries!! I would definitely recommend if you have no roof rack GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!!

Erica: We used this for a road trip from New Jersey to Tennessee and back. (1060 miles round trip).
We have a 2011 Honda CRV without roof racks, so we used this by securing it through the door openings.
We experienced high wind warnings on both travel days and had no problems with it. However, since we used it through the doors, it was pretty noisy. If you use roof racks you wouldn’t have this issue.
We loaded up the night before and there was a huge rainstorm lasting 7-8 hours. We then drove through a rainstorm as well. Almost everything remained dry inside - including blankets and items we hadn’t placed in bags. A few items on one side got wet, but not too badly. HOWEVER - because we secured this without roof racks and the straps were through the door, in the morning after the storm the inside of the car was drenched, and all of the seats were wet. We had to cover them up with plastic to make the drive home. Also, while driving through the rain storm water was dripping in from the straps. Again, if you have roof racks, this is no issue.
Despite the minor issues mentioned, we’ll still use this again and would recommend it. For the price and overall...

Dhana ConcepcionDhana Concepcion: Bought this for our move back to Florida from Arkansas after my short term contract ended. We didn't have furniture, just daily living things and what we acquired in the months there so naturally we needed more space for things on way home. It was great, spacious, strong material. We used the slip mat and then added another plastic mat underneath to protect my jeep's extra large sunroof. The mat tore but the glass stayed intact!
We ran into some rain in a few spots, worst was in upstate Alabama which lasted for a good 30-45min. Everything inside was wet, luckily everything was either in a plastic bag (vacuum sealed bags) or in a box. Looks like the inside items towards the middle were fairly dry it was the everything around the parameter of the zipper. Not sure why as the bag closed properly and has the flap that goes over the zipper. That is why I gave 4 stars. I have returned it because what good is a travel bag that everything gets wet in. Had our things not been properly packed we would have had a lot of wet clothing and damaged items.
I will say though it held its ground on the roof and didn't move around or come loose, we were able to do 75 on the highway. The car had...

kat heatherington: Given the low cost, this roof container is honestly great. It's a little cumbersome to set up the first time, but two of us working together managed it easily enough, and the thing that makes it challenging is that the strap hardware is difficult to adjust - which is all to the good, because it won't slide around while you're driving down the freeway, either. The package did come with an instruction sheet (contrary to older reviews) that clearly explains how to attach the straps to your roof-rack. We didn't encounter any rain, so can't evaluate water-proofing. The material seems quite sturdy, and I think with some care, it will last for many camping trips. You can fit quite a lot of stuff in it, and the compression straps let you adjust the container to fit its load. It's got sturdy velcro that shuts over the zipper, to help with waterproofing and durability. It has zero security (it's literally a large sturdy bag shut with zippers), so we didn't leave it on top of the car overnight when we were in town. Altogether we are very pleased with it.

danielle: This is a good luggage carrier. Kept everything dry and has lots of room to hold everything I needed. We only had it about half full. The material seems to be super tough.
