MAXXHAUL 70209 Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier with Water-Resistant Cover

Gary R.: Just got back from a 3 month trip, to Alaska and used this bag on our trailer cargo carrier to carry a portable generator, and other misc items. We went through all kinds of weather from, wind, rain, hail, and dust and it traveled approximately 12000 miles on back of the trailer. The bag did a good job keeping things clean and dry inside. There were no issues with deterioration of the bag. Zipper and latches all worked as intended with no issues. As the cargo carrier only had aluminum slats for the bottom surface, I places a piece of 1/4" plywood on the bottom just to give even support to the carrier, so the portable generator rubber feet wouldn't damage the bag. Overall I'm very happy with the quality and durability of the carrier bag.

Amazon Customer: I bought this to put a large Rubbermaid in that was on a cargo rack for my hitch. While it didn’t rain except once on my cross country drive, when it did, it kept the Rubbermaid inside dry. I used the straps that came with it along with two other adjustable straps. Only thing I can say is I think the straps that come with it will probably dry rot pretty easily.

Capacity Aluminum Cargo Carrier from Harbor Freight. We trekked over 3K miles across the country and it saw all sorts of weather and held up perfectly.

Teilweise bin ich 160 km/h gefahren und insgesamt waren es 1.600km. Man sollte nur das Gewicht im Auge behalten, weil mehr als 60 kg nicht aufgeladen werden sollten. Ich habe 3 große Reisetaschen in die Tasche getan.

ETZETZ: Das Produkt sieht auf den ersten Blick wertig aus. Der Reißverschluss lässt sich gut öffnen und schließen.
Ich habe für die Tasche ebenfalls einen innen Korpus gebaut somit fiel sie nicht zusammen und war stabiler.
Bei mir haben sich 3 der Klettverschluss streifen von der Box gelöst. Ich vermute sie haben der Hitze durch die Sonne nicht stand gehalten. Schade.

Nun wollte ich ein Gestell haben, welches ich auch nach Gebrauch einfach zusammen stecken kann, so dass man alles platzsparend verstaue kann, wobei die Idee mit dem Camping Tisch auch cool ist. Also habe ich mir Steckverbindungen und Vierkant Alustangen geholt und das Gestell gebaut. Kann sich sehen lassen und scheint als gehörte es dazu🤷🏼‍♂️

Mike A.Mike A.: Update: Cleaned all the road grime, salt and dirt of it, looks in great shape. Minor surface scratching (picture make it look a lot worse) on the bottom, no cuts or gouges and no seam damage with the exception of one corner. Even though some thread is showing, it is not torn and does not leak. Immersed the corner to see if showed dampness inside - none. Still very happy with my purchase. Reminder that this last trip was mid winter across the northern states with snow, ice, sand, gravel and salt and the bottom was exposed the entire time. Next trip I’ll cut out a piece of 1/8” fiberboard to protect it better. My bumper rack is just the Harbor Freight one. It looks way worse than the bag.

Bottom line: excellent product, highly recommended.

Two trips coast to coast, hot and cold, no damage and when hosed off, still looks new. Bought it August 2022, one trip there and back across the south, coast to coast; in October, next trip across the northern states and back in Dec/Jan.
