Chad Mitchell: Trolled with it recently and caught mahi and Bonita and rod felt solid the whole time .I put heatshrink over existing handles because the factory seemed to soft and had torn east but otherwise it’s flawless

Tim Thomas: The Guides alone have my vote. Bought 1 for my Son for Christmas 2022 and 1 for myself. Then after receiving his I went ahead and bought 3 more for myself. This is a short pole, 5 feet, and it is made to bend on the really big fish. I have 2 poles that are 60+ years old each. Kept them as wall hangers because I put regular steel eyes on it and wrapped it myself in 1996. The cost of the roller guides alone were between $100-200. Keep them as wall hangers and buy NEW rods for less than the cost of the guides. So this makes for a SUPER value.

J. Deuel: Although I haven’t trolled with this rod yet, the fit and finish looks great. I was worried the guides would be cockeyed, but they are straight and true. The slip joint is snug, and I wonder if my 2-piece rod will turn into a 1-piece at some point. I’ll have to be sure and disassemble when I rinse it each day.
I assume it will work as it should, but I bought the warranty for $5 anyway. If it falls apart I’ll amend my review. Tight lines!
