Movie Critic: I like this type of fire starter, I like to use my own knife and a durable mag stick is always preferred. I used the striking tool included it works fine and is a back up tool for my kit. I got 2 so I dont lose 1 and have none. High quality you get what you pay for. I should not need to buy a fire starter ever again unless a bear grabs my pack. Joke well hopefully.

Amazon Customer: This is my first ferro striker so I can learn how to use it properly. The build quality is on par with what I have researched and read about. We are under a burn ban right now so I unable to build a fire. I am also looking at ordering other products from texas bushcraft to complete my camping pack.

Andrew Van Wart: As the Texas in the name suggests, Texas Bushcraft is the best. This fire starter is excellent. It looks like a roman candle every time I strike it, and it's as sturdy as can be. The rod and striker come bound with some of their survival cord which is fantastic cordage. I didn't think it was possible to improve on 550 paracord, but they found a way. Well, done Texas Bushcraft. Well done.
