Loral: I already had one of these, but seem to mis-place it a lot.
Bought this as a backup.
I'm not really a slide player, but I have used brass, and glass slides, and seem to always grab this one when I have a need to play slide. I know there are players that swear by one material or another. I even have a coriceden (sp) bottle, and a dedicated glass slide. I just like this one best for my use.

Shawn R. Brucker: I've got pretty big hands and I've got to admit I probably should have went a size smaller on this. You live and you learn. All around great slide though and if you're on the fence on learning to play with one I say give it a shot. There's definitely a plethora of cool things you can sprinkle into your playing once you master it

J. Lann: Got a thin one, feels pretty solid. I ordered the wrong size, so it's only useable on half of my pinky. But that's fine, it fits my girlfriend's fingers just fine and actually a good size for her. In the meantime, I'll be ordering a new one that is much larger for my big hands/fingers. Not the fault of the seller at all, my fault for not properly measuring and ordering the correct one to start with. Still, I would have eventually gotten two of them anyways. No scratches so far in trying it out, though I'm sure some wear and tear will show up with regular use over the years and that's to be expected as it gets broken in.

Susan: The surface is nice. Though I don't have a lap guitar, I tried it on my electric and it works pretty fine. Just a small complaint, the large size is not actually large. It doesn't fit only on my pinky. So, make sure you realize that.
