Fender Electric Guitar Pickup Mounting Tubing

Stephen Poole: Don't assume that these only work on Fender guitars. You can get whatever length you need by combining and/or trimming with scissors. If you've ever launched a pickup mounting spring into low orbit while trying to navigate a long screw through the bezel, mounting hole, and into the tapped hole in the pickup, you will be moist-eyed with happiness over these things. If it's a #6-ish screw, the tube actually clings to it, making the process even easier.

I'll never use springs again if I can help it.

Ben: Obsessed with vintage spec and want to get suckered for it? Well here you go. Nibs of Surgical tubing. On a positive note they do work well and in my experience can last longer than springs. No rust! They are pretty swell honestly. Consistent feel when adjusting (when new). Personally as a luthier I prefer them over springs. 🤷‍♂️

Timerius: Not a typical thing you'd expect to see a review on but, for me personally these little guys are crucial. Not only are they easier to work with than springs but pup height adjustments are much smoother. And (I don't claim this to be a fact, just an observation) maybe my ears are playing a prank on me but I swear there's a little warmth added when using these with single coils. No change in buckers but I recorded a before and after, spring/rubber, identical pup height, same strings, same action, and the amplitude, even visually had changed as if a subtle 2-3:1 compressor was brought into the chain, yet the output remained nominal. Maybe I'm just wacko idk

Nick: My Strat has lipstick pickups and the springs just weren’t working out... I wanted to try something else and this option didn’t disappoint. The pickups move around a lot less than before.

eddie: So happy! Seen many other musicians swap springs out for these and I'm so thankful I could get these original parts! Pickups were really annoying rocking around with inaccurate spring tension. These saved the day! Absolutely solid with no rocking and if you hit pickup by mistake it remains exactly where you set it!
