The velcro stopped working after 6 weeks and our cat is able to easily get out of the harness.
There is no return policy that covers this?. Very disappointing

Harness is great, does what is expected. However…
What is pictured in the instructions is a cat nicely getting into the harness. What it doesn’t show is how when you begin to put a cat in said harness, your sweet kitten turns into a captive tiger and is hell bent on trying to maul you.
I was scratched. I was clawed. There was blood drawn.
This attempt eventually was a success, however, at what cost?
My kitten is now very angry. He does not like the harness. He does not like me. The harness has temporarily immobilized him. I am afraid that when he regains his mobility, he will attack. He now has a taste for blood. I fear I am no longer safe in my own home. This tame, indoor kitten must now become an outdoor wild cat where he can thrive, hunting ostriches and choking out coyotes like the tiger he believes he now is.
You have been warned.

The buckle was put on backwards so that the harness cannot be buckled properly. One buckle needs to be put in upside down in order for them to click in and hold secure. I’m not sure how actually secure it is due to the issue with the buckle. There is a Velcro strap and when clipped into a leash or other straps it should be secure, but I’m not sure. Definitely not an “escape proof” harness. I would not trust this harness to take my cat for a walk at all. I did get my cat the largest possible size in this, he is a 12lb DSH and the harness does still seem to be tight on his chest (where his fur pops out) but I can fit a finger between the harness and his skin so I’m not sure if that means it is too tight. He also seems reluctant to walk in the harness and just lays down when it is on him. This vest was easier to get on him than other ones we’ve tried in the past, however I believe it is far less secure than those ones. Wouldn’t recommend buying this due to the defect in the buckle.

So my cat is 10.5lb and the medium was a bit too small. I would recommend going with large if your cat is on the cusp, however, the design basically has a triple protection to avoid your cat from slipping out. Overall, it's a great design and although the leash is pretty short, you can easily knot a rope of some kind to make it longer. Highly recommend!

My boy cat is about 11lbs-12lbs and he is a masterful escape artist. So, I bought the medium. It looks a little snug on him, but I can adjust the tightness. It has a double security of velcro and a snap lock. He looks a bit squeezed, but there is no way he can escape. He went full bucking bronco at first and then fell over giving up. He now walks around he house in it, but makes sure I see how he can barely move his legs. Not true, cause I can slip my fingers in between all sides and the material is stretchy. This is a good price for the harness that includes a leash. The double latch on top where the leash connects looks good on the walk. But, when the cat is walking around the house unsecured, be careful because they could go under the bed and get it caught on things.
