Took much longer to actually transfer vinyl than it should have. Haven’t tried the mug or hat pieces yet, will update after using for a few months.

My2hbos: Best heat press!! I bought in Feb 220 and for the money it’s a great buy! Absolutely love it and I use it several times a week! I ordered and expected long shipping times but it arrived in 3 days! When I opened the box, I found all the expected part! I have not sure all parts even now but buy have the mug and hat press and loved both! It isn’t too hard to assemble or to change the press parts! The timer was a little tricky to figure out but with video online I figured it out as well! The heat press weighs about 50 lbs so it’s fairly heavy! And you need a good clearance area for the top to turn! The only problem I have had is the smell of the heat press is pretty smelly and strong! I use grill mats instead of buying Teflon sheets but overall a great value!!

Starr TrekkerStarr Trekker: First of all, the heat press does work, and so far it has done a decent job with my sublimation projects. But, I don't know if I am using it correctly because the instructions (see pics) it came with are useless regarding the initial setup. The translation to English is very poor. I don't understand most of it. I can't get the timer to work, and I don't know if it is because the instructions are bad or if it is broken. When I swing the arm, the base moves some, too. It doesn't seem to be heavy enough to hold itself down on the tabletop. So, I decided to just keep it in an "up and down" motion (no side to side swinging), which is good for pressing but difficult for positioning your fabric, paper, etc. I'll have to buy some non-skid pads to put on the feet to secure it. Also, there is no way to keep the bottom pressing part (not the base) from sliding forward and backward. It is designed to be removed for when you use the other pressing parts, but there needs to be a way to secure it while it's installed. I've pulled it out accidentally a couple of times already. The temperature controller box does not fit securely to the press, but it's not a serious problem, just an annoying one....

Monica Martinez-Suazo: So as many of you are probably doing right now, I didnt extensive research on what (in my opinion) would be the best heat press for a beginner. I spent months adding presses to my cart only to not have enough courage to buy them. I wanted to the best one for an affordable price( I'm a beginner). I read countless reviews and watch numerous YouTube videos on which one was the best and why. On the day I finally decided I needed to "man up" and finally buy a press I had a few good ones written down. I opened my app and start searching for the ones on my list. They all had "ok" prices, most around $250. I can't even really remember how this happened, but after a few clicks this press popped up and it was a great price. I must admit I had my doubts. I have a love hate relationship with online buying. Anyways after reading only like 2 reviews, I somehow found my self purchasing this press. When I got it came in a huge box and my husband helped me set it up. Let me tell you, it is great!!!!! It has a time and heat setting(although I still dont know how to adjust the setting) although everything could be learned from the manual. (Who has time for manuals hahaha) Overall I'm very pleased...

Benjamin C.: I purchased this unit, I still believe that this was a very good purchase. However,
When I received it, I performed an electrical safety check to ensure that the ground pin of the power cable was connected to the metal frame, it was not. I added a ground wire internal to the unit and it has functioning great for a long time. Today when I powered it up, it popped the breaker and blew the fuse. Upon inspection I found that the 4 pin aviation connector that connects the heat pad to the controll unit shorted internally to the connector shell (this is an unusual failure but it happens). This connected the 110VAC to the housing and If I had not added the ground, this would have given me a good shock.
I recommend when buying inexpensive equipment that time is taken to test for a safety ground connection.
I am happy with this unit and will be putting in a new connector and continue using it, maybe $5.
