Sylvia Hewitt: This books gives clear reason why faith in God makes sense. Everyone should take the time to read it. Well done!

Amazon Customer: Just read it. It is excellent. As a Christian and a scientist I see every day that people just accept what they are told as the truth. They don’t look what is under bonnet (hood). The trouble is that when people in intellectual power say things, it really means that the listeners (readers) needs to cross the bridge, and not take face value, and see what the intellectual power brokers are saying stacks up. This book, like many other’s, show that people in intellectual power say things just don’t stack up.

H. T. Berry: This is a dreadful book. It is a truly awful, intolerant, mean-hearted, mendacious grab-bag of outworn Christian apologetics, dubious claims of scientific support for theism, a tendentious review of the discoveries made in Biblical archeology over the past two centuries, virulent attacks on well-known atheists, and an utterly dishonest section suggesting among other things that science is rooted in Christian thought and that most great scientists were Christians. The book is badly conceived, poorly thought out, raggedly organized, and in the end is a soggy pastiche of half-truths, outright lies and sneering vituperation.

Before diving into Mr. Metaxas’s tiresome farrago of misstatements, disinformation and falsehoods, I think it is useful to give an answer to the question posed by the title, Is Atheism Dead? According to Pew Research, the number of Americans who identified as atheists, agnostics or ‘nothing in particular’ climbed from 17% to 26% during the period 2009-2018, an increase of over 50% in less than a decade, and the United States is behind Western Europe in it’s embrace of nonbelief. Moreover, it is commonly thought that these numbers are low, inasmuch...

Amazon Customer: The sections on how scientific achievements have increasingly pointed to a Creator, and the growing archaeological evidence that supports the Bible as an accurate historical document, are detailed and well researched. The author devotes the rest of the book to pointing out logical flaws in the New Atheists' arguments, critiques their approach, and outlines the consequences of unfettered atheism, examples of which are seen in recent history and currently.
Mr Mataxas has a colourful writing style and this is not a dry book to read. I would highly recommend it for anyone of an intellectual bent who is wondering whether there is a Creator and how we can know that.

Phillip Bissell: Rarely do I read and listen (Audible) to a book that makes me want to read it again as soon as I have finished it! Brilliantly argued, thoughtfully provoking and totally engaging.... So much so that as soon as I had finished the chapter on Dawkins and Hitchens, I wanted to carry banners down the high street warning people against such infantile arguments as they continually give through their books... Is so sad that atheists feel the need to attack Christians like us with such venom and anger and makes one question the validity of their supposed reasoned reasoning as to why they are so angry! Talking too atheists is a little like trying to persuade a blind man that there is a poisonous snake in front of him only to be told by the blind man that there is no snake..... and also to be told that he isn't even blind! Please get a copy of this book, and while you're at it, get some for your friends, and especially for your atheist friends.... However, they probably won't want to read it because it's safer for them NOT to read it.... Completely and totally recommendable.... a joy to read!!!

Mark A Smith: Eric Metaxas is the present day Grandmaster for presenting overwhelming and compelling evidence for the death of atheism! If atheism was not previously dead, it certainly is now. If you don't believe me, simply read "Is atheism Dead?" by Eric Metaxas and decide for yourself.

Atheists claim that belief in God is very much like believing in Santa Claus or other fictional characters such as the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy.

However, the exact opposite is truer. It is atheism that really parallels these fictional characters, not the belief in the Christian God who is revealed in Jesus Christ. The case for Jesus Christ is so incredibly strong that when countless children drop their belief in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, they continue to believe in Jesus Christ for their entire life!

Why don’t these Christians drop their belief in God along with Santa and the Tooth Fairy? It is because Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy do not correspond with reality, whereas the Christian God squares very well with it. That’s a huge difference.

In fact, atheism does not square with reality in any way. And New Atheism is much worse. New Atheism is an...

Patricia Moloney: Excellent book! Great insight and fascinating how science is pointing to the existence of God and how archaeology is uncovering hidden treasures verifying that the Bible stories occurred. The science section especially made me look at and appreciate the world around me, especially the explanation of how complex water is- we are living in a fine-tuned universe. The stories of Albert Camu and Jean-Paul Sartre were engaging and heart-warming to see at the end they embraced Truth. Eric Metaxas’ writing style is engaging and very easy to read, he explains complex scientific theories and topics in an understandable manner. A really compelling read for any person whether believer, agnostic or atheist something for everyone whether it is to strengthen your faith, make you think or simply to appreciate the world around us and its ‘perfect calibration’. Really enjoyed the book and going to read it again!
