Afterbrunel: This is a slim volume, so you will get through it quickly. It's a series of discussions of German habits written in a light-hearted way. Nevertheless it's accurate, but at heart it's a fun read.

Rebecca: Nice book, good price, arrived on time. I just thought the book was going to be funny with cute little jokes and 1 liners and short fun facts. It's good but definitely not that. Never judge a book by it's hilarious cover!

Alert consumer: I was looking forward to this book as we are going to Germany this summer with tweens and thought it would appeal to their sense of humor. Book is not as interesting nor as funny as we expected.

Lilly: Bien écrit, mais pas vraiement intéressant, le sujet est effleuré , pas approfondie.

Zoey: It’s a pretty interesting read. I thought I knew almost everything about German culture but this has some things that a lot of people wouldn’t know.

Dangerfield: I lived in Germany (Lower Saxony) for ten years but visited all parts. I found some things in this book wrong, e.g. truly traditional Christmas food is blue carp. I also found things missing such as Schuetzenfest. So, although this book is good, as far as it goes, do not think it will necessarily be the Germany you discover if you choose to live there. And, remember, Germany has a whole range of unusual wines , such as Schimme, well worth trying, and the coffee in Raststaette on the autobahnen, is universally excellent.
