Sailin' Steve: They say this is for younger readers, well, at 69 I guess I'm now younger, an added bonus! The illustrations are stunning and the text very informative, great to just sit on a rainy day, thumb through it and learn about the amazing variety of dominant life forms that lasted 165 million years compared to modern homo sapiens puny 160,000 years. And that they had colored feathers is breathtaking as exhibited in the artist renditions of possibilities. Thank goodness we still have winged dinosaurs with us in the form of birds. I would buy this book again as a gift to others.

Mr_Zambezi: After buying a copy for my grandson, I passed the link to my brother. He teaches at a fossil museum in Dorset and immediately ordered half a dozen copies for the museum gift shop. An early interest in dinosaurs can lead to a life-long interest in the earth sciences and this book can only help. If your child is ready for it, just buy them a copy.

4Horses: I was very happy with the quality and content of this book. I got it as a gift for a friend's 7 year old son who in his words "wants to be a paleontologist and likes prehistoric findings". (I love this kid!!) Unfortunately the postal service left the book on my porch, which normally isn't a problem, but it rained hard the day it was delivered and the book got really wet, soaked through the front cover and pages about half way through the book were wet. I know this isn't Amazon's fault but it was very disappointing to find the wet book when I got home from work. I would highly recommend this book for and young person who is interested in dinosaurs, prehistoric and paleontology.

Prakz: The book is very informative and well designed. The pages are matt finished and gives a nice feel overall. There are a lot of pages devoted to prehistoric creatures and is a good buildup to the main content.

Richard Sherman: Estuve comparando muchos libros similares de dinosaurios, y este es el que más me gustó por tener bastante contenido y muy buenas ilustraciones. Lo único que me fastidia es que no tiene tapa dura y desmerece el conjunto, pero a nivel de contenido está muy bien y no fue caro. Hay varias editoriales que hacen libros ilustrados parecidos de varias temáticas, y yo creo que están todos bien, pero en concreto DK suele sobresalir y algunos libros son espectaculares.
