Amazon Customer: My toddler loves this book, he now throws random stuff to show us the effect of gravity 😬😬

kaasby32: One of my sons favorite books! Self professed science nerd here and I love this entire series- a welcome change of pace from all the “cow goes moo” farm animal books! The concepts are simply outlined and well illustrated, and even my very unscientific mother will willingly grab these!!! If you look closely at illustrations in the different books you can bridge the concepts together (ie: the methane molecule in the Quarks book re-appears in the Green Energy book). They all start with a baby and use an example a baby/toddler can easily relate to (in Gravity- the baby drops food from the high chair, then explains it falls down, not up).
We enjoy every book in this series but if you’re trying to choose which to order- my least favorites are Coding and Quantum Physics, followed by green energy. Favorites are: Gravity, Thermo, Aerospace, Structural and Quarks.
Another excellent series I highly recommend is the Hello World Series! It too contains great illustrations and simple facts!!! My son likes reading Space together with Baby Loves Aerospace Engineering because he can identify Saturn in both and now that he’s 3 is starting to draw other parallels, but we started...

Ogopogo: I find the explanations to not be very intuitive. For example, nobody, especially a child, can relate to the fact the kid and the puppy in the book exert gravitational pull on each other. Also, I am not exactly thrilled about the example the kid in the book sets by dropping food on the floor. That being said, my child likes flipping through the pages and I do my best to explain gravity as we go :)

Roonil Wazlib: Our baby loves this book. One of her favorites.
An appropriate book for babies.
I wish there was some activity for baby too.

BlakMaskingTape: This is a really cool book. I like the way it looks at gravity for different objects. That said the foray into matter and mass was a bit too advanced and felt unnecessary to convey the point. I get why it was added, but that could have been another book - part 2 perhaps

Alexander: It looks and reads like a board book for much younger children, but it went over super well with my three year old. He really seemed to grasp the ideas too. After I read it to him the first time, he walked around performing experiments, dropping things and exclaiming "the Earth pulled it down!". Super neat to see him get excited about the natural world like that. I will definitely be looking into other books in the series for him.

RS: Enough information included to be highly educational but still very attractive to children!
We have had this book about a week and my child (3 year old) picks it most nights to read. I walked in on her reading it to her dolly the other day and explaining that the sun had “much more mass” and how much “baby likes gravity as it helps him go down the slide”! I can’t believe how much she understands of it.
I would highly recommend these!

L Garde: I loved this book, and so did my 1 and 3-year-old children.
Pros:
1 Representation: It is difficult to find books that include characters of color as the main characters. Sometimes, the cover of the book will include a character of color, who will then not be dominant in/throughout the story. This book did not disappoint. Although the main character was a person of color, he was just experiencing normal everyday life. That is important for children of color to know that all of the books about their lives are not about slavery/pain/suffering, and it is good for white children to see that children of color are just like them.
2. Science: Children absorb information like sponges, but so many children's books don't take advantage of that. This book actually taught my children about gravity and mass. My three year old has impressed people by casually using that vocabulary in several random conversations. I caught my children excitedly replicating the gravity "experiments" from the book. Finally, it also challenged me to be mindful about pointing out when my kids interact with gravity in their everyday life.
3: Format: It is difficult to find these topics in Board Book...

A girl with good taste: I ordered several books from this series and this is the best one. Two others that were good was about engineering. My least favorite (by far - I do not recommend it) was about coding.
