Steven CSteven C: If you're an adult weighing over 180, and want to put your weight into rowing, you'll have what I did which is everything breaking in half. I took this out on my very first use with it and bent an oar, throwing off it's balance for the rest of the day, and nearly broke both foot rests right in half. the tubes held up well enough, but the frame and metal used is very flimsy.

stephen cherry: The boat itself ,because it is inflatable, does not track very well.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I found it pretty well made, the complaints I read about flimsy oars and footrests appear to have been dealt with. That said, a pair of pliers made installing and undoing the safety-type pins a lot easier, and a small rubber hammer made lining up the holes the pins go into a lot easier. The boat is stable and easy to row, but if you're over 200 lbs like me, your butt will get wet if you row hard. The oars have rubber collars that don't stay put, but I fixed that with some hose-clamps. A good little craft for puttering around calm waters.

stef: I want to start by saying that this is the first inflatable boat I have ever bought or even used. I do not typically write long reviews but I felt it neccessary with this product as I really like it but it does not come useable out of the box. You will have to purchase some things, like an air pump and pressure gauge, and/or make "junk drawer" modifications in order to make what comes in the box work with a cheap air pump.
I very much like the boat, it fits what I was looking for. It is lightweight, I can easily break it down to 3 major parts plus the oars and lift them into my SUV by myself. The stability is also very nice, I had some concern about how it would feel if I caught into a good sized bass or pike but so far it has done well.
I have made some modifications to make this more comfortable and easier for me to use. First , I bought a swimming noodle and cut it down, adding it to each of the foot rests to give my feet a bit more comfort. I also bought a seat cushion because the seat can be a strain after a few hours.
My biggest complaint about this product is that the extension provided to use with a pump is not effective. This product uses a wonderful style of...

Teecee400: This pontoon is fast and nimble, however it does have its drawbacks. Having stepped up from a fishcat 4 float tube, there are certain things that I miss about my inferior watercraft. The first would have to be the stripping apron. The apron on this pontoon acts as a mesh barrier around the perimeter of your seat. Unfortunately, this doesn’t provide any functionality. Aside from setting a lure down for a second, there’s not much that you can use it for. On my fishcat the apron came up and over your lap, acting as a much needed table (when you’re restricted to such little space). The next thing that ticks me off about this pontoon is the fact that the storage pockets on each side have absolutely zero structure to them. Unzip the compartment and you will be concerned about losing gear each and every time. It’s extremely flimsy. Your gear will push up against the walls of the unzipped compartment, causing the fabric to peel back and fall down. This presents a huge problem when you’re trying to manage all your gear while restricted to a seat. For those who’re curious, I’ve been float tubing for three years, going on four. The next drawback would be corrosion. I bought...

Amazon Customer: Hello I recently got this pontoon and I was pretty excited to try it out. But setting it up for the first time I noticed that a coupl aspects of the boat were cheaply made. The valve that is used to let air in and out of the pontoons broke so it is very difficult to fill with air. One of the traps that is used to attach the pontoon to the frame broke on me after being in the water for 30 min.
But on a positive not it is very steady, pontoons hold air very well and the seat is pretty comfortable. The pontoons fits in my car with ease (Hyundai Accent hatchback ) and they go on sale quite often so you can get a good deal.
I am a little picky when it comes to my fishing gear because I fish quite often.
Cheers hope this helps

Amazon Customer: Overall great product.
Ore anchors unscrew when rowing - simple locking pin needed.
Ore's have a residual bend after a days rowing.
Safety clips near pulled my nails off -?could do with a tag to operate them easier.
Clear plastic tube to pump a little hockey connection.
Additional comment after 2 float trips......
As I noted previously and other folks have noted - the ores are pretty flimsy. One broke on me last week right at the ore anchor point. Easy to fix - cut out the bad section (2") and inserted 1" wooden dowel 8 inch either side of break. Then got a plastic plumbing union slid over the ore and glued to act as a proper ore stop. Had to do the same on the good ore to match....now the ores function much better. Would be better if the ores were better designed in the first place.
Also I am finding connecting and disconnection the clips was playing havoc on my thumb nail.....I now use a caribena to pull the clips.
I am also noticing that the white teflon ore anchor bushings are unscrewing and starting to wear....only 2 river drifts....will update on this later.

Crackleback: I have several Sea Eagle inflatables, and this pontoon I use only for fly fishing. It is what I need, although I will need to make some minor adjustments especially the stripping apron. Otherwise it's performance and stability is superb. I am contacting the manufacture concerning the inflation adapter. It is useless because it does not have a cross piece inside that is needed to open the inflation valve when inserted. For myself, I am not going to worry because my Sea Eagle accessories work on this boat (inflation gage, inflation adapters, foot pump, and the electric pump that can be set at 2.5psi and turns off automatically when that psi is reached. As for the rubber grommets on the oars, I have added additional grommets that have prevented slippage.
