It's brimming with fascinating insights into the land of Ooo and how it was brought to life through the wacky artwork of its creators. All the main characters are featured as you would expect but there's loads of early sketches and concept art too. For example, there's a great page about how they designed the logo with the sword. It's a really vibrant book and the offbeat humour of the show really comes across in the pages of this hardcover coffee table book too.

Carlos Enrique Martinez: Me parece un libro bastante genial, tienen muchas ilustraciones, material extra, cabe mencionar que todo viene en Ingles, por aquellos que esperan esté en español.
Una de las cosas que no me termina de convencer es que, si bien tiene muchas cosas, no deja de ser un compilado de cosas que ya hemos visto, con algunas cuantas sorpresas.
Totalmente para la colección.

Mr. XMr. X: Soy un gran fan de los art books en general en especial de películas o series de animación. Si ya tenéis algún libro similar como los de las películas de Disney-Pixar os encantará. No se compone de capturas de la serie en si, sino que te explica mediante bocetos previos, textos y story boards como se lleva a cabo cada plano y de donde nacen las ideas.
Me gusta que el formato sea apaisado como los de Pixar pero es ligeramente más alto y más grueso.
Lo pasaremos guay!

Jo-Jo Catto: This TV Show means so much to me. There is so much information and quality art! I love seeing the details behind the scenes -- like storyboarding out visual effects (like Marceline transforming) and style guides for characters and environments. This information is priceless, especially if you want to work in animation. Plus, it is cool to read all about the world that is so intricately and masterfully created. I will treasure this book my whole life.

EmanueleEmanuele: Questo Artbook è una miniera di informazioni per un amante della serie tv, contiene davvero di tutto.
Ho dovuto effettuare quest'ordine due volte perché purtroppo il primo era danneggiato, il secondo era perfetto. Il libro come potete vedere dalle foto è fornito di sovracopertina (anche se secondo me è più bello senza) la forma diversa dalle solite dà maggior spazio per immagini "panoramiche" perfette per i paesaggio fantasiosi presenti nelle terre di OOO. Le pagine sono abbastanza pesanti e plastificate, la qualità della stampa è impeccabile.
Nell'albo che ricordo è completamente in INGLESE è possibile vedere gli studi e le bozze dei personaggi più importanti come: jake, finn, gommarosa, re ghiaccio..... ma anche personaggi secondari o vari mostri che abitano quelle terre misteriose, in più è pieno di storyboard utili sia per lo studio che per scoprire piccoli messaggi nascosti ad esempio nella sigla iniziale.
Per concludere, questo libro come ho detto è strapieno di bozze, prove di colore, paesaggi, storyboard, vari personaggi...... per descrivervelo completamente non basterebbe una recensione, ma non voglio neanche togliervi il gusto di scoprire cose...

Isaiah: My book was damaged. The front of the cover was torn at the bottom. The packaging was intact. Lame. The book is great though. Pretty much everything you could want to know or see about Adventure Time is here. I especially liked all of the sketches and how it included the rejected drawings and the accepted ones. It's pretty fun to imagine Finn carrying one of the reject swords or all of Marcy's outfit concepts and hair styles that we never saw. Lots of fun. There's a lot of art that you just never see in the show. It also features a lot of still by still images of some of the best scenes artistically. Like Jake stretching his body through a mesh wall. I especially like the art from the earlier episodes. You can see how it was more similar to your standard, kind of raunchy modern Cartoon Network show, and then slowly evolved into its own little universe and totally changed with time.

350 pagine, 2 kg (e 200 g) di peso, sovraccoperta, carta lucida e stampa di alta qualità: il volume si presenta sin da prima di cominciare a sfogliarlo come un prodotto ottimamente realizzato, un'edizione curata nei dettagli e proposta con un rapporto/qualità prezzo davvero elevato.
Il punto forte dell'artbook sono ovviamente i contenuti: all'interno troviamo infatti una guida artistica completa al mondo di Adventure Time, che ricopre praticamente tutti gli aspetti della realizzazione della serie.
Si parte dalle idee iniziali, quelle che hanno fatto nascere l'idea base, e si prosegue per tutto il percorso creativo, fino ad arrivare agli storyboard più grezzi, quelli rifiniti e i disegni completi, pronti per essere animati.
Dal punto di vista grafico, si mostrano alcuni dei materiali forniti a Cartoon Network per decidere se investire o meno dello show (fogli con illustrazioni e descrizioni dettagliate dei personaggi, delle storie e della direzione generale dello show), i disegni di riferimento e le guide che gli animatori usano per disegnare i personaggi,...

Marc: This is an amazing book. Not just because the book itself is HUGE, but because it is a pretty comprehensive review of what went into the making of Adventure Time. Quality images, binding, etc. I've been a fan of the series for the past few years. This book lends a great deal more "technical" depth to the series. The presence of the "brainy" underpinnings behind the show is evident in each episode, but it's really cool to actually get a look at what's "really" happening behind the scenes and why. Great book for fans of the series and those who'd like to get a closer look at what goes into the making of a series like Adventure Time.

Courtney M: I own many art books. I'm an artist and an animator by trade, so I favor those sorts of art books. There will be days where I sit in my living room, a stack of them all around me, and I'll read through them for hours. So I knew, as a fan of the show's background designs specifically, that I needed to add Adventure Time: The Art of Ooo to my collection as soon as I heard of its release.
I was not disappointed.
In fact, The Art of Ooo has changed my expectations for art books. This book is special. It's the book I recommend to those aspiring toward an animation career regardless on if they've seen Adventure Time or not. This book is THOROUGH; it is so much more than a collection of beautiful illustrations. You get the show's origin story. You learn about the team behind the Adventure Time universe. You glimpse their studio process, their pitch bible, and even the art tests they send to prospective new recruits. I learned so much from this book. I'm STILL learning so much from this book.
