Diane L. Bunker: I always take a friend when I travel. This is the best one to have. I like to read about the place I'm going and learn. This also gives great eat places with description of type of food and cost. The book always has ideas for free time if you are on a tour with expected time to see/do. Good maps are enclosed. I carry in my small backpack and they have been a lifesaver more than once.

Rebecca G.: This book was really helpful in picking activities as we drove through Scotland. I wouldn’t really bank a lot of weight on the hotels in this book, as Scotland is plentiful with affordable bed and breakfasts and I enjoyed finding less popular stays throughout the country. This book really helped orient us to all the sights and must sees in each city

saran wrap: Love this guidebook. It is very well researched. Helped us plan our trip to Scotland & was unfailingly helpful while there & looking for spots to eat, the best shops and services, boat tour at Loch Ness, advice on driving routes etc.
I wish it included a good map of Scotland and more maps through out.
