Butterfly84: This book was pretty good, alot of information about Oregon in general. There was a mistake in the book though, the Japanese garden in Portland does not cost 10 dollars, it costs 20 dollars. If I had known that I probably would have chosen to go to the Chinese garden instead. Also, one really cool thing to do with kids in Medford is the playtime kids museum in downtown. I don't think this is listed in the book and it probably should be.

vaughn zenko: Headed to California for vacation so grabbed this (and the Northern California one, too) and it helped us find tons of cool stuff and restaurants along the way. Great maps, easy to navigate and pretty much followed our path along the interstate exit by exit so we were sure not to miss anything. Originally we just planned on winging it but this added so much to the trip, and we never had to stress about where we were going to eat along the way. I'm soooo glad we got it.

Jim: I found this guy to be extremely helpful. It helped me decide which route would be more interesting. It was not so deep into the details of every little town. But it was very useful to pick out some highlights as I drove through. There are good maps. They weren't that detailed but very helpful. Also there are good suggestions for places to eat and places to sleep. By dividing up the state into sections that can be explored one trip at a time, it is useful to plan for future visits. Oregon is a big state so don't plan on seeing everything in this book in just a few trips.
