Frank S: A cute and irresistible fun series to read on Kindle Unlimited.
I just finished reading book #11, the characters sort of grow and grow in interest. Truly a very fun and light hearted read.

Cathie: While I don't usually read books by male authors, preferring the female perspective, I took a chance on Victor because all the review mention humour. I wasn't disappointed. I laughed till my pillow was soaked with happy tears and a telephone caller asked my hubby what I was laughing at. The dialogue is just precious in this Greek travel booklet meets cookery book. Reads like James Herriot goes to Greece!

JOHN S: All 9 volumes were a great read. So many different characters each with their own unique charm and adventures. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. I sure hope there will be more volumes soon , especially with Victor, his germ phobias and the current pandemic. I'd love to hear how he's coping.

Kindle Customer: Seems that this series of (probably) three books should not have been split up into 9. Very expensive for the reader as they are in reality three times the price of a normal length novel.why? Perhaps the author could write a whole book and publish that instead. A bit far fetched in places, seems to have resorted silliness in many different instances.

Bettylou: I have been reading Victors books through lock down/this covid madness, I enjoy the way he writes about himself, a little bit snobbish but surely we all have standards similar to his. (I imagine him to be a bit like Frasier) I have loved following his life in the Mani, enough to have emailed him after completing the first 7 desperate for the next instalment and I seventeen disappointed, give his books ago if you feel the need to get t away from it all. Hurry up with volume 10, missing you already 😉

Phil K Schroeder: Victor’s latest book continues to be another enjoyable and entertaining read,. There’s never a dull moment in the village of Meli. I love the pace of the writing, the characters’ personalities and the hilarious situations they all find themselves in.

Tibby: I felt I had a holiday in Greece with old friends. Victor's mother is now staying in the downstairs flat. She insists on learning to ride a bicycle so that she doesn't have to walk on her swollen feet. Marigold went to England for a visit. A rumour went round that Marigold had left Victor and he got an interesting proposition, whilst the village grannies kept on bringing food to his house. A fun read - impossible to put down until the last page.

Kindle reader: Memorable characters, a slice of Greek life, such a charming Greek village . Greek culture and customs , its all in these books. Oh, and not forgetting the expatriates who are also the reason for the. books, fun,fun fun.
