CHRISTINA: God is good

Dave DeJonge: I read the original Evidence That Demands a Verdict when it first came out 50 years ago or so, and it changed my life. This updated version is just as good, and includes additional evidence for the Christian faith that wasn't available 50 years ago. If you're a person who makes decisions based on data and facts, this is an excellent book that lays out just some of the empirical evidence that Jesus was who he said he was--God himself in the form of a human. I love the way this book lays out the 3 options we have when determining who we believe Jesus was--Lord, liar or lunatic. Those are the only 3 options, and this book lays out a rational, logical argument for Jesus being Lord that will strengthen your Christian faith. This is indeed a life-changing book.

Sir Seán J. Madsen: No serious Christian, regardless of denomination, can afford not to read this book.
It demonstrates conclusively, through meticulous argument and careful documentation, that the Bible is true.
For those who are disheartened by the increasing influence of revisionist and minimalist thought about the real meaning of the Bible, this book is an absolute must-have.
Indeed, in its many pages, I have only discovered one single error.
The authors, who are otherwise so exact and accurate, mistakenly claim that the deuterocanonical books of the Old Testament - which appear in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles but not in Protestant editions - were only added in 1546 by the Council of Trent.
In fact however, these books, which form part of the Greek Old Testament utilized by the early Church, were specifically listed as part of the Bible at no less than three Church councils in the 4th century - Rome (382), Hippo (393) and Carthage (397).
When the Protestant reformers removed several books from the Old Testament in the early 1500s, the Catholic Council of Trent re-affirmed their integral place in Scripture - just as the Church had believed from the very...

Jesse R.: So I purchased the kindle version of this book several days ago (and also ordered the hardback copy as well, because I may use it to more quickly reference back to while teaching), and I'm about a quarter of the way through it so far(Ch. 7 to be exact). There is a lot of information packed into this one book, so it may take me a little bit to read through it all, but so far it's been an enjoyable and productive read. Contrary to what some of the negative reviews on here are saying though (such as the book being propaganda, not using external sources, or that it lacks evidence), this book(as far as I have noticed) has been packed with vast amounts of evidence from both Christian and non-Christian sources alike that help back up the accuracy and historicity of the Bible. From manuscripts and other archeological finds, to quotes from Christian historical figures such as Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp, and from other historians such Flavious Josephus and Tacitus, and even quotes from atheists such as Bart Ehrman, has been used to show the Bible's reliability. In other words, there is a mixture of sources being pulled from and used so as not to just make an argument solely from a...

laura garcia: This book contains a powerful story of a man that was consumed by hate for his father and was sure that God did not exist. It documents his journey and tells us all the evidence that helped turn his life around. To the point that he could no longer hate the man that had caused him so much pain in his life but instead felt a real love for him that ended up transforming his father, his town, and many others in the process.

USA Dad: For those who are open to believing in God, but need their questions answered honestly and carefully, you NEED this book. I owe a great debt to the author for writing this very well thought out and carefully researched treasure.
I first read this book in my college days. i was going through a time of great doubt and uncertainty about my faith in Christ. I had grown up as a Christian but now I faced doubts I could not get rid of. I searched for honest books that would not be anti Christian but also provide evidence as well to confirm my growing doubts. It was a difficult and frustrating time and I felt that no one could give me answers.
I bought about 10 books. But the only one that I found that truly answered my questions was THIS book. The archaeological section was very powerful. There has not been a true archaeological find that has ever contradicted Scripture. Some will claim to do so when they are first discovered, but inevitably they always later turn out to line up with Scripture.
I also loved the section on how well the Scripture is preserved over 2 Millenia. Only the Word of God can claim this distinction. Other key books of history fall well short in...
