My cat loved it from the minute I put it up for him to play. However, only 3 days in & the string broke on three different places. Inverted renting it & even tapping it but I don’t think it’s strong enough or durable for the strength of his teeth & claws. :( It sure did keep him entertained & active for the few days he was able to play with it! Maybe the manufacturer can come up with a more sturdier solution!

This has kept my cats happy for a long time while I'm at work and kept them away from walking on my keyboard. They are adorable to watch too. I plan to buy more in the future. It's held up great so far and they really stretch the cable too

My cat Tiki loved this when I first put it under my doorway. She pulled on it but immediately snapped it off the base on your doorway. Luckily it has a plastic clip you can use to snap it back in place after this happens, but I recommend you try playing with your cat after its detached from the base. My cat had stopped playing because the plastic clip that holds this toy to the base on your doorway got flung on her when it detached, and it hurt her. She ignored it for several hours after that, then I decided to play to use it as a standalone toy (hey she might like it?) and she much prefer that! Feel free to try it! Maybe your cat will like it as a chasing toy like Tiki does. All cats are different though and Tiki is very feisty but very loving.
Overall, this product would receive 2.5 stars from me. Its main function is terrible since your cat will yank it out from the base on your doorway and it may hurt her/him when it snaps off the base (It WILL happen btw). As a standalone toy to use as a chasing toy, its pretty good. The mouse itself is in pretty great shape is very durable and high quality. The string that attaches to your doorway and the plastic...

Cat really likes this and is great exercise as she has to jump to reach it. Does get caught over the door from time to time as it bounces back. It has a clip similar to safety clip on collars only more flimsy which pulls apart if cat catches mouse and pulls hard. You can clip it back together so this is good design. After a number of weeks she gives it a go every so often so novelty seems to have worn off a little

Firstly, this is a super fun toy for our cats. The day our orange tabby successfully pulled hard enough to get the safety release to let go, he walked around the whole house with the mouse in his mouth, meowing all the way.
The catch, when you purchase, make sure you double check the knots for the elastic on the plastic release. Our boy was able to remove the small plastic latch from the elastic, which we thought he swallowed… significant panic for sure. He was fine, we found the plastic latch later that day. The knots are now tight.
Update: the mouse lasted about 3 months. We’ve since purchased the yellow bird version and it’s also a hit. Checked the knots when we got it and made sure they’re tight. $20 every 3 months may not be too bad for a toy that gets so much play time.

Trixie loves this toy. It's very fun, keeps her bouncing up and down. Slamming it around. She needs more exercise and this helps with that!! She jumps around til she ends up falling asleep underneath it. It has that rattle sound, she loves those sort of mouses that are cheap fur and rattle. It's made well. It withstands alot with her playing and hunting it in the way she does. It's never flinged off the door yet and fits well swinging between rooms. It is sort of high, so for very young kittens they might not be able to reach it or they will fly through the air.. Lol... All you gotta do is start the game and they'll know its there. They can play by themselves while you are away. For the price it's worth it. Keeps her entertained and fit. Cute little toy. Cheap looking but they love that. If she bites through the string. You can just re knot it.
