Jim dell: If you want to sharpen your writing technique, help your high school kids, or sharpen your college skills this book will be useful to you. I own quite a few in the dummies series always reccomend to filks.

Anime Brighton: Bought for my husband who was at university for nursing and struggling with his essay writing. I can't say the book didn't do the job, bit he just didn't use it and didn't really see any benefit from it. That doesn't mean it has anything wrong just didn't seem to engage him enough for him to make decent use out of it. The book itself is thick and seemed to me like it was exactly as offered.

Mima: Able to know what not to do and what to do. The only thing I would suggest for improvement would be...need some real examples for essays. This is the reason why I would only give this book a 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Kim Truong: Highly recommend this book. On this book, I learn many essential parts to write a good academic essay. Before I read this wonderful, I felt struggle to start writing. Thank the book for a motivation that I was inspired from. Since today, I feel comfortable to write something or particularly an essay. I try my best to write everyday without being stressful or anxious. " Do one thing that scares you everyday" - Eleanor Roosevelt. Be happy and enjoy writing. This book help me realize that writing an academic essay does not solely focuse on the perfection; on the other hand, the main point of this process is how to make it flawlessly from imperfection.

Anonymous Customer: Copyright 2009, not 2012, but worry not, writing essays doesn't change from year to year. I read this whole book from cover to cover. Lively reading. This is a UK version, but I couldn't find another version, meaning it's the only version. Other than things ending in --ise rather than --ize, --our rather than --or, the fact that in England 'teachers' are called 'tutors,' and that a 70/100 grade in Britain seems to be equivalent to 85/100 in US, I could hardly tell this book was geared for British readers. I highly recommend.

The next book I'm going to read is  A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, Eighth Edition: Chicago Style for Students and Researchers (Chicago Guides to Writing, Editing, and Publishing)  [which I bought iBooks at MacAppStore. Kindle formatting is lazy-bones crap.] Bought at iBooks version at Apple Store, paper version.

Another looks-to-be, by-what-I-can-discern-by-browsing (am reading it now), is  The Complete Idiot's Guide to Writing Well . Pub date 2000, but good writing is timeless.
